Minutes, days, weeks, years –

every day the rooster crows;

Time will make us old!

About oneta hayes

ABOUT ME Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...

    Moses could not stop long enough to listen or watch the days passing. He knew he still had a job to do so he did it. He was 80 before he began and some records indicate he was 120 before he passed the baton of authority on to Joshua. The very senior folk who love the Lord are VITAL in 2018 to hold high the banner of FAITH which is ingrained in our lives and matured by Relationship with the Saviour. Oneta, hold high this banner and bring your wisdom to the younger generation in EVERYTHING you write or do. Blessings!

      Thanks for the encouragement, Faye. Indeed the Lord is good and I can’t imagine that he does not have something worthwhile for all his kids.I am so thankful for the opportunity to still study, write, and maintain relationships. Do you notice my one young blogger friend who writes: “you are old…” I’m a bit taken aback but it is true! Not everyone has a chance to know old age. I have learned as much in the last decade as in any former – except the first two. Of course, some of what I have learned since 75 has not been much fun! 😀

      Amen to that!

  2. Hi Oneta, how are you doing? Do you feel better and get some strength back. Good to see you making posts!

      Time does march on and I am old! 😀 But smarter. Got more sense. Know stuff I never knew before. Have little girls around who adore me. Still love Jesus. Know Jesus loves me. Still have Sammy. Not very many have all that. How blessed I am. Wow!

    That’s for sure. Time does not wait on anyone. Good one, Oneta! 🙂

      We are whistling in the dark with statements like “you’re only as old as you feel.” Of course one’s attitude probably does allow for more years – at least sometimes. 😀
