Blogging 101 Lesson 2 Site Title and Tag Line

Mine is the generation whose women, mothers included, joined the work force. My sons will never connect the appetizing aroma of bread baking to their mother’s kitchen. If they remember that fragrance it will be because of Aunt Dorothy’s dinner rolls or early morning drives across town as they neared the Rainbow Bakery.

However, they have never experienced a time when they did not have bread to eat even though they may have chosen donuts or pizza instead. Few in America realize that bread is the “staff of life.” It is the food staple that has given life to the hungry. Perhaps that is one reason Jesus called himself the “bread of life” and invited all who would partake of his flesh to do so and live forever. John 6:50-51, “But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which a man may eat and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever…”
“Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.” (Psalm 34:8) And what is the taste without the aroma!

With that introduction, let me tell you why I have chosen the title, “Sweet Aroma.” My reason is based on the scripture in II Cor. 2:15 which says in part: “Our lives are a Christ-like fragrance rising up to God.” I’m alive! So how do I send a “Christ-like fragrance” up to God in whatever number of years I have remaining.

I must learn new ways to communicate to people on the run. I’ve noticed that often those people on the run are running to the internet! So here I am! Catch ‘um if I can! Hope to entice with “Sweet Aroma” rising from my potpourri of thought and words.

About oneta hayes

ABOUT ME Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...
