I want to pay tribute to wonderful people I have known, the wonderful country in which I live, the communities in which I have lived, the churches who have claimed me as their own, the God who sends shivers down my back when I really give him a portion of my time—well, maybe not shivers but tears flow easily in some of those most priceless times.

CHILDHOOD ANGST? NOT FOR ME
Shh… I’m thinking. Shh… I’m reliving moments from yesteryear. Shh… I’m striving to discover a deep dark secret from my childhood. My internal tape recorder reveals no mystery, no secrets, no pain. Sort of disappointing, isn’t it? Surely I am … Continue reading
PETE AND AMY
Amy, my mother, was right-brained, a creative/artsy kind of person; she liked decorating, painting, sewing, and writing. She was proud of Pete, my daddy, for his left-brained thinking/his handwriting, his mathematical abilities, and his straight rows of broomcorn. I … Continue reading

LIFE IN TORNADO ALLEY
Air out the bedding and put in the bug bomb! Cellar cleaning time again. Ears tuned to the TV weather channel. It’s tornado season! As a child I was naïve regarding weather. The only thing we had was hot and … Continue reading

So today I continue with the Liebster Award process. This will consist of three parts. First, choose worthy blogsters; second, give them questions to answer; third, list some helpful instructions. As a prelude to the “unveiling” of my nominees, I … Continue reading
LIEBSTER AWARD – Part 2
Thanks Hayley, for the Liebster nomination. I am joining the game. Sort of like Tag – I tag you, your IT! Maybe like tag-team in wrestling. I work real hard, then I tag someone to take over. (I’ll tag … Continue reading
LIEBSTER AWARD – Part 1
LIEBSTER AWARD—Part 1 Thanks, Scribbles to Composition, https://awritershelper.wordpress.com, for nominating me for the Liebster Award. It is my pleasure to join the alumni of this rather nebulous but honorable group of writers! Now for the answers to questions given to … Continue reading
