Dear Blogging Friends, I don’t know that this is a medium for this kind of blog. But an explanation is in the wind, especially since being nominated for Liebster Award, and it does entail extra work, but appears to be fun and I want to do it. Thanks to https://heavenlyfootsteps.wordpress.com/2015/05/07/liebster-award and https://awritershelper.wordpress.com/. When you know my location, you will probably know why I’m explaining instead of writing. We live in Mustang, Ok. The tornado that hit in Bridge Creek last night is about nine miles south of us. It was traveling north so when it got five miles from us, we went to the storm cellar. See, I told you I could explain. I’ll be back to my activities another day. I really am anxious to get on to the fun stuff (your questions and nominations) soon. More storms in the offing for two more days. Hope I don’t need to spend any of it the cellar! More of my adventures later.
I want to pay tribute to wonderful people I have known, the wonderful country in which I live, the communities in which I have lived, the churches who have claimed me as their own, the God who sends shivers down my back when I really give him a portion of my time—well, maybe not shivers but tears flow easily in some of those most priceless times.

Oh, my gosh. I was watching the live stream from KFOR last night, for about two hours. I’ve got a friend in Purcell, kinfolk east of OKC, and know several people with family and friends in Moore and South OKC. I’m so glad you’re all right.
When I was growing up in Iowa, we made for the storm cellar a few times ourselves. There weren’t any sirens or weathermen to tell us when to go, but those green skies often were enough.
Of course you heard about the so-called “Tigernado” in Tuttle. I’m glad it turned out to be false, although I bit on it last night. But it’s funny as heck, and luckily even the owner of the wildlife refuge found it funny. If it had been true, Sharknado would have been replaced by Tigernado, for sure.
Stay safe!
Prayers your way, Oneta. My family (many of them) lives around Broken Arrow, Tulsa, and Bartlesville. When I saw your name I just sort of thought “Oklahoma” like I’ve heard your name before, sort of deja vu.
Oh dear! Stay safe – I hope you manage to return from the cellar soon! xx
