LIEBSTER AWARD – Part Three – Nominations

So today I continue with the Liebster Award process.  This will consist of three parts.  First, choose worthy blogsters; second, give them questions to answer; third, list some helpful instructions.

As a prelude to the “unveiling” of my nominees, I have something important to say.  I cannot find any way to determine the number of followers you might have but since indicates different rules allow for 200 to 3000, I seem to have little likelihood for error.  So if I nominate you and you have been around twenty years or more and have 5000 followers, you probably do not need to accept this award at this time, but you will know I enjoy your writings.  Who knows maybe everyone else has overlooked you!   And another thing, you may have been nominated so many times, you are bored with it.  Okay, I still like to read your stuff.  That said, here goes.

So,  my nominees are:  For your encouragement and advice, I thank you and nominate you for your excellent blog site.  The song/poem “The Touch of the Master’s Hand” I’m sure could be an analogy of what you have done with many children who were fortunate to have had you for a teacher.  You are special to me because I selected you to follow because I thought you were going to be much like me  – crazygrandmama.  Didn’t take me long to decide I must be wrong, so I looked again and discovered you were “gradmama” rather than “grandmama.”  By then I was hooked so kept reading you through the eyes of my young “mama” granddaughters.  Katia, We have one thing in common, we are both daughters.  Beyond that you are everything I’m not, fitness instructor, traveler, speak many languages.  But I like you.  I like seeing into your world.  Besides you send me a comment occasionally.  Thanks.  Hey, I don’t know you very well, but you like chocolate, so what’s not to love!  All right, ish, I am sure you are blessed with lots of followers, and I see that you were nominated last week by someone but I’m not to be denied.  So you’re nominated again.  New round of questions.  Anyway you have probably figured out how to get the Liebster logo on to your blog, so that makes accepting this again much, much easier!  Because I love the scripture you shared, I Peter 2:7, “Therefore to you who believe, He is precious.”  I love how many times Peter uses the word “precious” in his books.  The rough and tough, foot-in-the-mouth fisherman sure ended up showing many of the fruits of the Spirit, didn’t he?  Because Lucy is so young and fashionable, but keeps budget in mind.  I would like to be known by Lucy’s followers who are interested in days gone by.  Import some grandchildren for me! because I love their post “Faithful and Loving Companion.  It moved the heart of this dog loving person, almost convincing me to love a cat.  because of Melanie’s “About.”  It is so filled with things I have “thunk” but did not say.  Melanie said them.

Now for Part Three.

  1. Once you are nominated, make a post thanking and linking the person who nominated you.

    – Include the Liebster Award sticker in the post too.

    – Nominate 10 other bloggers who you feel are worthy of this award. Let them know they have been nominated by commenting on one of their posts. You can also nominate the person who nominated you.

    – Ensure all of these bloggers have less than 200 followers.

    – Answer the ten questions asked to you by the person who nominated you, and make ten questions of your own for your nominees.

    – Lastly, COPY these rules in the post.

About oneta hayes

ABOUT ME Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...

How kind of you, Oneta. I really appreciate the nomination, though I no longer participate in the awards. For me, knowing that people read, and reading their comments, is reward enough for me.

On the other hand, I do enjoy coming across these posts from time to time, because it allows introductions to bloggers I otherwise wouldn’t know. I’ll make a point to visit the others you’ve listed, and let them know I’ve been there, too. That’s always fun, and I thank you for the opportunity to meet some new people.

Yes, shoreacres, that’s the kind of person you are – Kind. You are so active I am not sure your are not on Word Press staff! I know I nominated some very new bloggers so I wanted to give them access to “kind” people. I hope they will also become acquainted with the blogging 101 people who are so careful to welcome and involve new comers. Thank you, and thank you for your comment.

  3. Thank you so much! I’ve already written a Liebster post, so I won’t be doing another, but like the commenter above, I always love these posts for reading recommendations.
