There is wisdom in the advice about keeping my words sweet in case I have to eat them. So I’m tiptoeing tenderly into the blogworld in case I choose to retreat, hoping no one will notice that I have been here. On occasion I have had to eat some pretty bitter pills and I have no doubt that I might tread heavily in this wonderland of cyberspace. So why take the chance?  My reason is based on the scripture in II Cor. 2:15 which says in part: “Our lives are a Christ-like fragrance rising up to God.” I’m alive! So how do I send a “Christ-like fragrance” up to God in whatever number of years I have remaining. I must learn new ways to communicate to people on the run. I’ve noticed that often those people on the run are running to the internet! So here I am! Catch ‘um if I can! Hope to entice with sweet aroma rising from my potpourri of thought and words.

(A re-post of my reasons for title and tag.  Remind me to be nice!)

About oneta hayes

ABOUT ME Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...

I think peoples’ reasons for the titles and taglines are so interesting. When i began, I was just as hesitant as you. I’m much more willing to express myself now, and so far, so good. I think there’s a way to be honest and straightforward, without getting into the kind of pushiness — both good and bad — that’s so much a feature of the internet.

In any event, I’m glad you’re here, and it’s always a delight to find one of your posts in my mailbox!
