HANG ON TO A GO-GETTER!

So you are the new kid in the air!  Let me tell you about getting in the mix.  Take a university course.  It will help you find a group of people who you can identify with right away because of “The Commons” which is available for that group.  You might not know what that is now, but you will if you register in a blogging101 class.

Next, find a “go-getter” and spend lots of time becoming acquainted with the bloggers who make comments on their blogs.  The people who make comments are generally friendly and looking for contacts. You hop to it.  Go to their blogs, tell them you are there because you saw their comment on such and such blog.  Check their follow button.  The chances are good that they will return your visit.  If you don’t know a go-getter try Jacque  http://acookingpotandtwistedtales.com/2016/01/25/lets-do-the-mathematics-of-blogging/  She is one!  Friendly and welcoming to everyone.  She also lists blogs she recommends, I think every week.  I am not especially a go-getter, but I do welcome new contacts and I return contacts.  Jacque and I both have blogs with quite a wide range of interest.  I can’t do photography, but Jacque does; however, I would be glad to see your pictures, even if I can’t take them.

If you are specializing in an area such as cooking, parenting, travel, or photography, go to the Blogs Recommended for You, there you will find others with your interest.  Grab on to one and contact the people who make comments to them.  Happy blogging to you.

About oneta hayes

ABOUT ME Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...

It is certainly important to “mingle” (as Jacqueline would say) with other bloggers so this is good advice!

Yes Jackie is a great cheerleader for me too! I enjoy your blog too, and your advice to take those classes! I am at a loss sometimes between the classes, and I find new people to follow with the reader and they find me as I get busy bloggin again 😀 have a great day

I feel like I am about “topped out” because I don’t want to just have names without time to spend with followers. But everyday there seems to be more delightful inviting new blogs I can’t turn down! So far I’m fairly content because I can remember names, generally site names, and some general things about people, but I don’t know how long that will last! When does quantity and quality burst my bubble? I guess at some point one has to decide whether she really wants to write or to read. Anyway at this point I still know you! And I like it that way! 😀

Connecting is so important. How can you care or pray if you don’t connect and ‘touch base’. Good Post.

That is sort of what I was writing about in the comment to SarahC above. I like knowing my contact people. I feel as if I know you personally, and as I said above, I like it that way!

  4. You sweet lady 😊 I like my title.

A delightful post about the natural ‘call’ we have to be in relationship! The song Stand by Me keeps playing in my mind…so many lovely people who do this so very naturally!!!! HUGS.
