My third 2017 wish for you.  JOY

Commuting in a triangle between Wichita, KS; Tulsa, OK; and Oklahoma City was a difficult circumstance in my life during a transition of jobs and residences.  Other personal problems were weighing heavily on me.

As I traveled the road alone, God gave me a song.  These were the words based on: James shoe-prints-21:2-4.  “I’ll count it all joy, my King; I’ll count it all joy.  I’ll follow in everything and count it all joy.  My steps are all ordered by Thee; my foot shall not slide.  By faith I don’t have to see, with you as my Guide. –  When I fall into temptation, trials of faith that worketh patience,  I will not be in despair, for I know that you are there, working all things for my good.”  Along with the words was the music.

It has been about thirty years since the incident related above.  I’ve had the song all these years.  I, long ago, forgot the problems that worried me that day.  But I was left with a song.   “I’ll count it all joy, my King; I’ll count it all joy…”

Psalm 37:23  “If the Lord delights in a man’s way, he makes his steps firm; though he stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand.”

About oneta hayes

ABOUT ME Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...

That’s a beautiful song. Of course, it would be, considering the Source.

Next to Ruth James is my favorite book of the Nible. So true that happiness is often contingent, but joy is constant.

    timely encouragement!

J=Jesus, O=Others, Y=Yourself. When we live our life in that order we can travel through any valley…I’m so glad He ordered your steps that day & grateful our travels have collided! Blessings!
