Psalms 11:3-5: “When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?” No better answer than II Chron. 7:14 Humble myself, pray, seek his face, turn from wickedness.  Also consider these scriptures in Psalms: 20:6-9; 44:3; 108:12-13 Do not trust in oneself, man, chariots and horses but trust in God.

Some may remember the six-day war won by the Israelis against Syria, Jordan, and Egypt (June 5-10, 1967)? That was a victory that can only be explained as a time when God stepped in. God often hides himself in the weak rather than allowing the strong to take credit. I am thankful for military defense, but my trust is in Jesus. I must remind myself of that and replace my grumbling with humbly bowing to God’s will when things seem all wrong.

When things are wrong in our sight, God still rules and blesses those who are his (22:28: 29:11; 33; 12, 16-22).   In Him there’s always hope.

About oneta hayes

ABOUT ME Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...

The Yom Kippur war of 1973 was a completely different situation. This time God used the United States to rearm Israel after they had lost much military hardware defending themselves from a surprise attack. Two wars, six years apart, but victory for Israel both times. J.

Salvageable, sorry to admit my ignorance of situations in the 60’s and 70’s. Then I was like so many today – thoroughly swamped in my won limited environment. I missed much. Thank you.

Israel continues even today to defend itself from attacks from inside their cities. Only God in this middle East situation can unravel it all. One Kingdom. His Plans. His Purposes.. Thanks for post
