Summer’s heat’s in store,

Secrete loathsome sweat and stress

Project poise and peace!

About oneta hayes

ABOUT ME Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Yes, definitely need to ‘project poise and peace.’ It may be a bit of a challenge.

I thought you were still in winter autumn mode. We are frying here this year. Limited rain everything is shrivelling up. Had two weeks of temps 100 + in the old scale ie 40,1,2,3,4 a few places made 48. Yes indeed a bit less weight is always helpful. (Oneta your insight and biblical response to the little cloud I posted on my blog site. Thank you. I prayed accordingly and that night we had rain for first time in weeks). Praise God!

Praise God for the rain for you and for us. It has been fantastic weather this winter. But I’m not sure it will be very good for spring growth. Surely we will get another freeze but there is not one in sight.

  3. We perspire with poise 😉

I was taught only a man sweats…women “glisten.” Giggles!! Hugs for the warm thoughts for those of us in the cold Northeastern part of the US.

  5. Well, Summer is still a few months away but living in south Florida I can completely relate to your poem. Very good! 🙂
