Max the Music Man rocked his mandolin,
Toe-tappin’, hand-clappin’ grew hip again.
He made music that lingers,
With his fast fancy fingers
Then treated his calluses with lanolin.

Prompt from SoCS: use “man” either as a whole word or as a part of a word.

ABOUT ME
Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...
I love it! Great use of the prompt!
Thank you. It was fun. I enjoyed my visit to your place. Your dad’s letters were wonderful.
Thank you!
I like this:)
Thank you, Jami. Do you have a website. I couldn’t find one. Hope you will visit again.

I found you and did some reading. You are a good writer. Congratulations on pursuing and attaining goals for yourself. Hope to see you more.
Thank you, Oneta:)
😀
That’s a fun to read Limerick Oneta, good use of the prompt word 🙂 Maybe commenting works – just popping in from the reader.
I always feel “warm” when seeing your name pop up. I would see it more often if I would visit BW more, wouldn’t I? I see you over there on occasion. Thanks for coming to see me. 😀
Love it! As a ukulele playing man, I know all about calluses, ouch!
I’d love to hear you! I like passion that show in music even to the point of tender finger tips. I have a guitar picking brother and a mandolin picking uncle. Love that music. Thanks for letting me know we have a common interest.
Thank you too.
Didn’t realize it was using a prompt word but like the expression of it.
I sometimes have to be urged to get with it; I like the prompts which do that for me. They generally do not take long and are fun to do. At least most of the time I make them fun. My uncle plays the mandolin so he was my mental image for the limerick. I haven’t done a limerick since Rashmi quit her challenge to us. I miss her. I could look up on tags and find someone else if I would take the time. Busy. But happy. Thanks for the blessings in my life.
