Roger ReNee

Look what has been added to my family.  I’ve had the guy a long time.  So by process of elimination…you got it!  I’ve got a new daughter (in-law).  She is a wonder.  Roger finally found a girl good enough to take his cap off for!  And you know how attached a fellow can get to his cap.  But there is no flower in his lapel.  Looks like they already know how to compromise.

He is a grandfather to five; she is a grandmother to two.  They are excited about having a blended and blessed family.  He is the grandfather to the girls I write about sometimes – Jadalyn, Ashlyn, Kenlyn.  I’ll have to introduce you to the other two sometime.  Now I have two little great grandsons.  They are very cute and smart little fellows.  It is nice to get some little boys back in the family.  Will be fun to do some boy stories sometimes.

ReNee is energetic, smart, loving, and lovely.  Roger is hard working, smart, loving, and good looking.  They both strive to live life as the Lord directs them.  What mom could ask for more? I’m delighted.

And the neons give another slice of their lives!

About oneta hayes

ABOUT ME Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...

She is very loyal. I hope my husband and I never become a burden to them. As of now, I have no fear. Thanks.

I had no idea your husband was still alive .. and parents never become a burden as they age … it just allows children a precious opportunity to repay the kindness!

That’s the way they seem to feel. I’m so glad to have them near. My husband is well and quite active. Not grumpy often – :D. We get tin a row of the wits sometimes but he is really a great husband. I’m thankful. He has beat two times. Scary. But an overcomer. He is five years older than I. The years do roll on.

  4. Congratulations on some wonderful new additions/blessings to your family!

Yes, it is exciting. They are in Florida today boarding a ship for a honeymoon cruise. I haven’t seen her for a few days. Or him either for that matter, except for a while Sunday afternoon. 😀 They have other irons in the fire! 😀

Our family from my husband and I to the third generation of great grands are delighted with their decision to commit. We were all far too much in love to not be heart broken if they decided marriage was not for them. They both had situations in which marriages did not last but that is still the best sign of intention! At least to me! 😀

Somehow I missed this. It’s really quite exciting. I’m happy for them both, and I’m happy for you and your husband, too. It will be nice to have some new boys in the family. I’ll await the stories with eagerness.

    • oneta hayes says:

:D’s coming. I have met the boys a couple of times, but their mother is not real comfortable with letting them “be boys” around me yet. That will change. I want them to be at home with us. Given time I’m sure my little girls will make them at home here I’ll catch a picture maybe.

Congratulations! I just got married Feb 28th I can feel the love 🙂

    • oneta hayes says:

May you have many long and loving years! My husband and I will be celebrating 65 years of marriage in July. A long haul like that takes some doing but it is worth it! 😀

      • Congratulations on such a big milestone! You are a wise woman and I’m sure that helped you get this far.
By the way, Licirose is commenting on your blog as part of an assignment for me. Thank you for being so kind and responsive back. She really liked your work; she chose it for almost all fifteen of her blog assignments. 😉
        Happy blogging! 😉

Ah yes. I remember this post. Remember wishing them congrats. Sounds from your comment on Promptlings like everything is going great! I sure wish Brandon would find someone to share his life with. I don’t think I mentioned it or not, but he has started his lay pastor training. He will be an itinerant pastor for churches here in our area in Northern Utah that don’t have a pastor as of now. He’s already preaching. We’re very proud of him. 🙂

    • oneta hayes says:

Sounds like you have much reason to be proud of him. You also have comfort in knowing the Lord has plans for peace not pain, even though the valley can be long. “The steps of a righteous man are order by the Lord” – I think I’m quoting right, but it is too late for me to look it up right now. 😀 I have a second (older) son who is a pastor here in Oklahoma. He has a dear wife who is a treasure to us all. God is still in control!
