Try this out for a jump rope song—
Silly putty, silly putty
Makin’ snakes until your nutty.
Looky there!
Did you see that?
One of the snakes
Is wearing a hat!
How many hats will it take
To make a hat for every snake?

ABOUT ME
Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...
LOL!
😀
Funny! 😉
When I said, Silly putty, silly putty it struck that chord in my head, Cinderella, dressed in yellow, went upstairs to kiss her fella…. My arms started swinging and you have the result. 😀 Something close anyway. I never could jump rope but my arms have a hard time staying still when I hear the action.
Thanks for stirring up happy memories jumping rope!
Can you read it with your arms still? If you can’t, you got my meaning. 😀
I did, but nodded my head with the rhythm 😀
Good for me; good for you. 😀
Ha!…:)
Like it? Good. 😀
🙂
Think I’ll try it out in the backyard. I may even get the stiff joins to join in the laugh. thank you.
Now that sounds feisty. You might even loosen stiff joints! 😀
Love it, Oneta! Memories of childhood days! 😀
Thank you. My Great-grands are that age. When they come again, I hope I remember to teach them. Maybe they would share with friends. They might even be proud of me; that would be satisfying! 😀
Grandma this silly putty silly putty would make you wore out.
