In response to September 5th prompt—Creases of the heart.  Note: It is said by some that a diagonal crease in the ear lobes might be a signal of a bad heart.  So with that in mind, I present evidence that Elvis did not die.  His heart still beats somewhere!

Elvis caused my heart to flutter,  Made it melt like hot butter.

They say that he died, and a million women cried.

But he could not have departed, so don’t be down hearted.

Just look at that ear, there’s nothing to fear.

Not a single crease in the lobe of his ear.

He’s still someplace on this globe

He can’t have died with a smooth earlobe.

September Writing Prompts

About oneta hayes

ABOUT ME Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...

Thank you Stacey. It was fun to do. Do you like prompts? If you have time for them, Michelle does give a wide variety to play with. One can be serious or a little nutty. I fit in one or the other. 😀

I tried prompts back last year for a time. It was fun but I felt like I ran out of steam, haha! Must’ve been writers block 🙂

I love prompts, challenges and such, but I have a lot of other stuff I want to do also, so my problem is more often to not post so much I get to be an unseen fixture. And I like to read and comment also so time does make a difference. Thanks for your comments.
