How would it be possible to not connect “looming chaos” with Irma on this particular day. But I’m going a different route.
I believe there will be a rapture of the church at which time Christ will call all his believers to exit this earth in a sudden unannounced time. The Bible calls it “in the twinkling of an eye.” (I Cor. 15:52)
This will be victory for the saints, but such chaos will be left behind. The Bible also says one on the housetop, one in the bed, one will be taken the other left. My scenarios would be something like this:
-
A man is lighting a fire for his fireplace. He is taken away, he drops the match the house burns.
-
Several women disappear from behind the wheels of the cars they are driving. The cars rock and reel causing pile-ups right and left.
-
A train engineer is gone. The train reels over the bridge and lands in the lake.
-
A young husband goes into a nursery where he expects to see his wife and child. No one is there.
Of course the scenes of tragedy are manifold. It is definitely a LOOMING CHAOS for all who will be left on earth.

Last year I posted a blog called “Can I Be Good Enough” regarding a dream I had in which I had not gone in the rapture. Several of you have read it; others are new to me and probably have not. https://onetahayes.com/2016/05/10/can-i-be-good-enough/

ABOUT ME
Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...
Well, for what it’s worth, I happen to believe in a pre-tribulational rapture!
I tend to also because of the scripture that says for us to pray that we might escape…. I’m not certain about it though. I do think it will be mid-trib if not pre-trib. I think my scenarios above would be consistent with pre-tribulation. That is my intention. Do you know anybody who is writing about these times we are in as they fit with the rapture of the church?
I have written some lessons on it myself, but never posted it on here.
Do you follow Don at My Heart Is for Israel? He is doing a good series on Revelation.
No, but it sounds interesting and I trust your evaluation. I hate to go in on just anything. One can get so much of what one can’t trust. Thanks.
Now that is some truth

Hey Oneta. Delete that link comment, it was not the correct one. Sorry. I am trying to upload a lesson I did on it, but having trouble finding it!

There you go. It’s pretty long, and hardly edited at all, but was what I used for a class I teach, so was really for me to teach from, not really for readers.
If I can handle third grade I can handle you lesson notes. Thanks.
Ha! Good point
Wally thanks so much for sending me your lesson on the Resurrection and the Rapture plus other. It is so clearly taught with every scripture to support as well as recognition of things that might be seen differently by different people. It is a class act. Yes, a class act. Because of time limits I did not read all of the first section. I think it well covered things I have studied elsewhere. I loved the Christopher Hitchens quote about what a Christian is. At least he knew and pulled no punches. The I hopped down to the Rapture part. Everything is presented in an objective fashion with your conclusions based on the proponderance of the evidence. This really should be available for others. Could you put it as a page on your blog? There it would find a permanent home. Thank you.
Oneta, thanks for your encouragement. That has actually been on my long term project list, to take some of the classes I have taught and make them into pages for permanent use. Sigh…time, time…so much to do and so little of that precious time. Your encouragement might just get that ball rolling again!
I would really like your material available for my use. Thank you, and please with sugar on it. It did not take long to get to me. The errors are insignificant. Use what you have. 😀 As more signs of the end come about, there will be more people who begin to care. When our security blanket is yanked from us as is happening now, we may begin to look to the future seriously.
That’s a very true statement! They will care
😀
Looming chaos for sure!
Amen. Do you know if my link works from your end? I can’t make it work. I was up until 1:45 last night with someone from WP telling me I had to use a HtML code to make it work. I’m frustrated with it. I don’t know what changed anything. I linked to my first three or four submissions without trouble.
I’ve been seeing every single link you’ve posted, so don’t be worried. They’re all working! 😉
I try to not fret more. Thanks. 😀
Yes, no fretting! You’ll live longer that way! 😉
😀
Ha, it works! Like I said, that is pretty long, and my rapture thoughts are way at the end.
Thank you. Comment above. 😀
Interesting thoughts about looming chaos. I’m so glad you’re participating in this!! ❤️
It is fun to see where our minds take us once we get past that first thought and begin to push our brains a bit. 😀
YES! I also believe in a post-tribulation rapture and wonder how much more unravelling of what is God’s Will has to occur on the earth until this happens. Salvation assured for all who believe. I could never be good enough but my Saviour is. On Him alone I must depend. The carnage in this world …..how wonderful if we could be translated BUT…….perhaps there is a lot more we have to do by simply be ALIVE in Him. Blessings!
Do you believe Christians will be on earth during all seven years of great tribulation; then be raptured? Or do you believe Christians will be raptured before the tribulation? I’m not sure which you mean. Either way it is good to know we will go with Jesus whether dead or alive. Thanks for the comment.
The rapture is a future reality for all believers in Christ. And the world will not be the same again after it.
Thanks for the comment Victor. It is encouraging to meet other children of God who are awaiting the coming of Jesus.
What an excellent message, Oneta. After reading about yet another senseless school shooting today I can’t help but to keep looking up longingly. I’ve heard the different theories about when the rapture will happen and they all have merit. Personally I try to focus upon guiding or taking as many souls as possible along whenever it happens! Great post!!
God could have been more specific in his word if the timing mattered that much. What matters is to live ready at whatever hour that will be. Besides that we are being called individually all along the way. But his coming will be glorious.
Here, here, my Dear Oneta.
