thumbs up

Dear Blogging Friends.  There are some matters I would like to make note of.

First, I want to give thanks to C. C. Brown  for passing the Lovely Blog Award to me.  It is still an honor to receive awards although I do not do them as diligently as I did at one time.  They are a great way to get acquainted with folks.  However, I bog down with passing them on.   So although I’m not making nominations I do want to say thank you to C.C. Brown.  Visit her.  I’m sure you will love to interact with her; time with her is well spent.

Next, some book promotions.

Jacque Oby-Ikocha’s poetry book, “Unbridled.”  Jacque is a wonderful blogging hostess who does many interactive things to make bloggers welcome to her place.  In thanks for her help to me, I wanted to recommend you go take a look at her book.  If she is new to any of you, you will benefit by making her acquaintance.

Judy (Hall Simon) has a book “Before the Door Closes” which relates her over coming experience with an alcoholic father.  As you read, you will see why she calls herself, judyjourneys.

Faye Roots who keeps a daily inspirational blog has written a fiction book, “Beyond the Ashes.”  It is a story of a family tragedy, separation, and redemption.

Robert Lambert Jones is a “myth master.”  His legend in rhyme is a reading pleasure.  I’ve read The Kraken.  He has another newly published, “The Fear of a Farmer,”  I am intrigued by it.  And I promise it to myself soon.

A few months ago when I wrote a series of posts on Abortion, I was sent a book free.  I want to mention it.  It’s author, Paul Seaton, makes the book available as needed.  It is heart touching but true to the practice of abortion.

Bloom, A Journal by BeautyBeyondBones is a new release.  A victorious story by an anorexic who recovered and gives thanks to Jesus for his help and blessings to her.  I haven’t read it, but her posts are a delight, so I wanted to send you another good suggestion.  Perhaps some of you have daughters or granddaughters who would benefit from this story

And Another New Thing – A Radio Show.  The lovely e speaks.

About oneta hayes

ABOUT ME Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...

Thanks, IB. These kinds of blogs are a good way to find people of like interests. That’s one of the outstanding features of Jacque’s blog. She has many meet and greet parties as well as other interactive activities. I often see folks at your place whose views I enjoy, and I would like to follow up on them. Haven’t read you yet today, so I must get along or I might miss some good stuff. 😀
