Note the following scriptures which describe what happens to forgiven sins.

“Micah 7:19 says God will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.

Psalm 103 says He removes them as far from us as East is from West.

According to Isaiah 38:17, God puts them behind His back.

Colossians 2:14 says he canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness

Isaiah 1:18  “though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool”.

Aren’t those beautiful?

I am also thinking of this song: “They’re underneath the blood on the cross of Calvary, as far removed as darkness is from dawn. In the sea of God’s forgetfulness, that’s good enough for me. Praise God, my sins are gone!” — I found it on You Tube with lyrics. “My Sins Are Gone.”

About oneta hayes

ABOUT ME Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...

I so love this! I must print these out and put them up somewhere for those times when the enemy tries so hard to remind me. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you, Stacy. I’m glad they are pleasing to you. Have a good time with the Lord as you mull over their beauty. I love that God tromps on our sins tosses them over his back into the ocean. They’re gone! That, of course, is our forgiven sins. Makes me want to run to him when I find sins hanging around. 😀

Thank God the past is in the past and the now, as long as we keep repenting and remembering that we will continue to fall short of His Best, acknowledge and ACCEPT forgiveness the now is travelled and the future assured. A lifetime of being like David. O Lord create in me a clean pure heart this day. a-men. Blessings and thank you for the reminders of Grace.

The way God knits us together into such a stunning tapestry often astounds me. This post reads like the feelings that have been bubbling up in me all morning. I’m so thankful to be forgiven – especially for the wrongs I committed thinking I was so right. “My chains are gone, I’ve been set free, my God, my Savior has ransomed me…”

I love it when that happens ❤
