“It looks like the star of Bethlehem that the wise men followed,” Sadie thought. “That’s a good sign. I’ll begin again. I’ll do better next time.”
Home again after two years of medical procedures and therapy, she was dependent on the walker, but strength and independence were returning.
Nagging thoughts: “Do I want the responsibility? Responsibility means making better choices. Responsibility means accepting blame. Responsibility means caring for myself. Responsibility means …… driving again.”
Sadie gripped the walker and breathed deeply. “I can and I will.”
Encouraged by the star, she chuckled, “At least I’ll drive a car, not a camel.”

ABOUT ME
Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...
I love you, Oneta.
You give a lift to my day. I think I will just hang around some more! 😀
You better.
😀
A nice story of belief.
Thank you.
Very inspiring!
Thank you.
I just started blogging and would love to hear from you!
Cheers x
I’ll come help you get a start. Warning however, I don’t read long blogs. Most of my blogging friends and community are very busy people. We love keeping up making friends and sharing “words” with others. I’ll come over. See you on your long.
Sorry Tejasv, I didn’t find your blog. Only a profile. Put your website on your profile. I’ll try again.
Love that last line!
Thank you.
Wonderfully creative.
Thank you.
Believing she will is the first step. Nicely done.
Absolutely necessary to overcome taking the easy way out. Thanks for the comment.
Such determination. Delightful

Thanks. And thanks for the link. You wrote a delightful little tale. I love its innocence.
A sweet and positive tale.
Thank you. I believe you have visited me before. I’ve tried to follow you home, but I only end up at you profile which does not have a website. Hope to find you sometime.
jillyfunnell, sorry I did find you and I am already a follower. Got mixed up someplace. Sorry.
