13 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.” 14 Do everything in love. I Corinthians 16:13,14 (NIV)
“Be on your guard” Yes, remember the devil is not likely to attack full force on big issues; he is much more likely to sneak up on little things we don’t think much about.
“Stand strong in the faith” Don’t listen to the “voices of the earth.” Heed Bible doctrines.
“Be a woman of courage” Take risks in Jesus; he is wonderfully exciting. I mostly miss the excitement when I don’t take any chances. What would it matter if I am rejected when I say to the hapless “Jesus loves you”! What if I took a stranger to MacDonald’s for a meal? Could I even call that courage? If life is “old hat,” take a risk in Jesus. Do something to help someone.
“Be strong” Being strong includes taking care of myself – physically, mentally, spiritually; so get some exercise, do some puzzles, finish reading my “Holiness” book.
“Do everything in love” – Put myself out to do a “good deed” for every age level. I rue the division of the generations, but I generally don’t do much about it. Go to the mall, smile at the teens, sit by one. She might even stay put to see what I will say!
TAKE A PEEK INTO 2019 – ENJOY!

Marvelous facts to help start the new year, Oneta.
Very down to earth and easy to understand, aren’t they, Roo? Mark Twain: “It ain’t the parts of the Bible that I can’t understand that bother me, it is the parts that I do understand.” Yes, we should be striving to do those parts we understand. 😀
Perfect quote, Oneta. 😄 I’m a Sam fan also.
You seem quite familiar with dear old Sammy. 😀 Enough all ready on name dropping. He probably never dreamed people like you and me would be tossing him about so lightly.
😄
Nice story and piece of information. I love a story with a bit of a back story to it.. Thank you.
I read your Friday Fictioneers. Cones up, cone holes down? Thanks for visiting me.
Thanks for 2019 encouragement. How important that without compromise or political correctness but aligned with the WORD we simply BE IN 2019. What you ‘see’ is what I am but it is Christ in me who makes the difference. It’s a fact and I love because He loves me and He loves you. family, friend, shopkeeper or even the rude teenager who obstructs our path and gestures rudely. Welcome 2019!.
We shouldn’t expect much of teens, especially if they haven’t been taught well. They are amazingly lacking in positive experiences. Not judging them; I just know they haven’t lived long enough to gather much by experience and osmosis. 😀
