I love Mondays.  That has not always been true.  Like many others, I began Monday Misery on Sunday night.  So in this acrostic, I’m speaking for myself and relishing retirement.   I rue “yesterday’s” Mondays that were not fully appreciated – one of “yesterday’s” errors.  If you had to go to work today, I hope it was your best work day ever!

New beginning

Ever expanding

Wise choices await

Many opportunities.

Open door to blank page

Never used

Develop plans

Awake to  learn.

Yesterday’s errors behind!

My first try at Saturday Mix.  Saturday’s challenge was to write an acrostic.  If you have not done so, you should check out Mindlovemisery.  Great and fun challenges.

About oneta hayes

ABOUT ME Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...

Thanks for the comment, Jules. My problem now is Wednesday! Downhill slope for the rest of the week. No, I’m kidding.

I have learned to give thanks for each and every day. Yes I too hated Mondays when I was younger now indeed I rejoice that each new day is a new day of LIFE in all its FULLNESS. How I wish in the years gone by I had the wisdom I now have. So much would not have been allowed to slip away in the self-focus of daily living. Still a lesson for us all to learn. Less DOING and more BEING and all of life for young and old could have richer potential.. Thanks for blog. Blessings all.
