Ever since the day she had fallen into the trap of Satan, the serpents nestled in her head; she was numb with regret. “Doesn’t it look beautiful?” was the way it began. It seemed so innocent. Now she couldn’t escape the temptations and bitterness that plagued her spirit, changing her personality, leaving her revengeful and unfulfilled. She didn’t come to Adam acting this way. She was sweet; she was happy; she was desirable.
Each little serpent has an appeal.
“Doesn’t it look tasty?” But fig cookies were ruining her figure.
“Adam, why haven’t you pulled the weeds yet?” she nagged.
“You boys need a sound thrashing,” she threatened.
“I don’t want another peach,” she whined.
“God must have died. I never see him anymore,” she complained.
“Wish I had a hand-maiden to sweep up these leaves,” she murmured.
“If there were another man….” she longed.
Longing, murmuring, complaining, whining, nagging, threatening. She didn’t use to be this way. In the beginning they were so happy. God, Adam, and Eve.

I’ve heard of her but don’t know her personally. I’ve dealt with her relatives. 😀
I heard some one saying go forth and multiply. Eve did not spread the myth of the apple. It was spread by those who needed to wrap their ‘ good deeds’ under cover.
I wasn’t writing scripture. I was making an analogy of a present day Eve. Oh, the pains we women go through. 😀
Empower women. The power is in your hands. Don’t let others dictate.
I have no interest in empowering women in USA. Most women have the power that is due them. If they do not, there are law agencies and social agencies who will help. I am equal to men. I am a successful career woman with a happy home. I have two daughters-in-law who are successful career women and happy in their homes, whose husbands adore them. It is an insult to me that I would think to take to the streets and demand kinds of laws to make up for my inadequacies. I am hindered now by age. If I had a job now I would expect to be paid less than a fifty year old because I am slow. But I would be a bargain at any price because I’m smart and have common sense. 😀 Who is dictating to me? Not many – yet. When Dems get in, maybe they will dictate my time of death. That would be rough. Ask an aborted baby. I assume you are back home with the gloves on. 😀
No exception even for rape or incest and you say no empowerment needed? What can I say?
In an ideal world, abortion will be unnecessary. However in a world where ‘boys will be boys’, abortion will exist till those making the laws learn to keep their pants zipped.

You must not read all my stuff about abortion. I have not said no exceptions. But I have said I think exceptions mean one has to choose to kill the baby. I don’t wash my hands of that decision to pretend the baby was not an unborn human being. Almost all women have power to choose to say no. Choice is best before heavy petting begins. I’m not overly fond of those making the laws, but I believe most of the babies are being made by boys and girls who do not make the laws. Good morning, Pranab. 😀

I don’t know if in 1971 millions of unfortunate Bangladeshi women opted to be raped and impregnated by Pakistani soldiers or recently thousands of yazidi women in Iraq wanted to be raped and impregnated by ISIS jihadists. Will those poor women be labeled as baby killers if they would have preferred to abort?
Pranab, I am deeply sorry for the women in others countries. I do not see, however, that making laws here will affect them. I believe USA efforts toward human welfare surely helps some. Surely not enough. But how does my desire to save babies in my country hurt women and babies in other countries? And as to whether I think abortion would be wrong. Yes, however, very understandable particularly to people who only see life as life in the flesh. I would not condemn them, and I have no way near the compassion, mercy and grace that (my) God has. I leave that issue to him while I do what I can do with the resources I have. As I have said before you must not read all I have written on abortion. If you do so, you will find that I say I can see myself in the position of choosing abortion, however, I would never claim my innocence. I would cast my self on his grace and acknowledge that I had killed a child and suffer the consequences that entails. It would be harder for me to forgive myself than for God who forgives and forgets.

Enrich their Swiss Bank accounts, not much different than some here may be.
That’s what I expected. I much prefer direct giving. Missionaries or charity groups. But I don’t know any that have that particular goal. Some private medical groups perhaps could help. Birth control is a completely different issue from abortion.
I think, and again that’s my personal opinion, empowerment of women, education and easier access to birth control in that order will negate abortion.

leads to negating abortion. Sounds good, but it worked the other way in America. Never more “empowerment, education and easy access to birth control” than at this time in USA and never more abortion. Well, statistics says abortion is down a bit. But with all that, we are now making it legal through nine months and perhaps after birth if mom says so! You are kind but .. it just doesn’t work that way. Public Education = Brainwashing on this subject. Fortunately some of the “common” people like me are fed up with it and passing some laws hopefully to restore some balance to this abnormality.
You are hyperventillating😂. It has worked in India, though we are on the path to overtake China in becoming the most populous country in the world( curse of democracy? ), working in Bangladesh and I am sure in other countries of the world that I don’t have statics on. Do remember that India’s population below the poverty line is more than the total population of USA and it is a fact that poor people do tend to give birth to more children (in the absence of social security network, children are perceived as security in old age though that is breaking down slowly). However the availability of government subsidised birth control and reproductive right education slowly having an impact on reducing growth rate. Long back when I was in India(last century😂) , it was common to show birth control ads in movie halls in India. Out here, in 21st century, I am sure people will sue the movie theaters (and who knows someone I know may be on the protest line😂).
