Your blogging friend by the name of ‘Neta, had a month that tried to bet’ta.
Bad tooth out and the blood comes in, sometimes thick, too often thin.
Then came the horrible Lovenox injection, made my belly change complexion.
Getting quite stressed cause my cruise is coming, gotta keep my heart a humming!
Victory arrived yesterday,
when the nurse said, “throw the Lovenox away!”
Shouted a great big “Thank You, Jesus – all that mess did not defeat us.”
But Woe it’s not all over yet! Painful lumps
on arms, thigh, and rump.
My diagnosis with online help, I’m smitten with GOUT – that makes me yelp.
Gout is a rich old man’s disease! I don’t even live in that kind of ease!
Got two more days to getting out of here,
Then heading to Galveston – me, my family, and all our gear.
Getting on the Royal Caribbean.
I’ll tell you later what all I’ve been seein’.
Smiling at you. 😀 We are leaving on Thursday to go to Galveston. Will stay in a hotel that night then board the ship on Friday morning at eleven. Resort destinations: Cozumel and Puerto Costa Maya. I look forward to the luxury of the liner rather than the resorts, but I suppose I’ll get off for the experience.
Regarding the “gout” thing. No doctor has diagnosed that. I tried to see my doctor today but she is out of town. I did find a couple articles connecting Lovanox and all my symptoms fit. It hurts but it will go away in a few days I am sure, when I get the Lovanox out of my body. I’m consuming lots of water. I think I can buy over the counter stuff if necessary.
I’ll be back home the night of the 23rd. I’ll be reporting in! 😀
If you can get ahold of some cherry juice, it will help. It’s one of the best anti-inflammatory’s there is. I’ve used it for arthritis, and a friend used it for gout. And if you don’t have gout, it won’t hurt a thing!
Thanks for the tip. My son, the fitness guru, hates any kind of meds; the cherry juice would be great. I’m glad to know that is good for arthritis. My sister will be happy about that. I’ll remember you when I see the boats.
Bless you, Oneta! I am praying for smooth sailing within your body and a good trip full of pleasant memories. Bon voyage! 🙂
Thank you. Keep our blogging community stirred while I’m gone.
Lumps be d*#ned!!!
Have a marvelous trip!!!!!!!!
I’m trusting for a good trip. So much “not me” but I can still learn, and one can teach old dogs new tricks! At least if one has such a good coach as I have. My daughter-in-law has done the work!
It’ll be great!
Prayers for a wonderful, peaceful adventure without any pain!
Thank you for the blessing.
Ouch! Sorry about what you been through but love your attitude! The cruise sounds fabulous!!!
Oh and if it will help a little I wrote a part 2 to the story. “It all started with a letter.” so you don’t have to be curious anymore on how it ends. 🙂
Thank you, joy dear Loved the comments on your Part 2.
So welcome sweet Oneta. Oh yes I have some crazy friends. LOL! Comments can get fun in my posts. 😊
Gout is painful Oneta, but medications will work, all the best…… I’ve had gout since I was 21,(now I’m 68), and it’s been keep under control …….
Did you ever get to live the rich man’s life that brought on the gout? 😀 Thanks for the encouragement. No new spots today. I think things are on the way up. But if I find it recurs, I might be seeking advice from you.
No never saw the rich man’s life,….. There is tablet treatment s that will work, although I have to take a tab every day 🤔🙄
I think my situation is Lovenox related. Don’t expect further complications.Glad you have a way to live with that troublesome disease.
Glad you’re back up to speed and sailing, Oneta!
Thanks, Mitch. Keep our community on even keel while I’m gone.
All of the richness of God’s Peace and Grace to you my friend. I have a bad record with most pills and potions etc. I like the sound of the cherry juice. I too have heard of that healthy aid. I believe most berry juices can be beneficial. Looking forward to a great report when you return. Love F.
Thank you, Faye. In general I do not eat enough fruit – or veggies, except potatoes. I’m doing better this morning,
That’s the spirit. Enjoy your cruise and the resorts.
Drinking lots of water definitely flushes the system of toxins(and sea level won’t rise by that tiny amount of flushing😉).
And the ship will barely notice the difference. I’m ten pounds heavier than I was after my week of bleeding. I didn’t eat much that week. I’m bloated, that true, but probably not ten pound worth – maybe three or four pounds will be exchanged from bloat to dining fare. 😀
