Today I saw this following exchange on Face Book. (Names changed and my paraphrasing.)
Elise: “Pray for me. I’m going for a job interview. First I’ve had for eight years.”
Response from Janice: “You can do it. I just had one – after thirty years.”
***********
I don’t know about these situations. Are Elise and Janice interviewing in order to change jobs spurred on by better pay? Have they been furloughing because they didn’t want to work? Have they just taken a recess to raise kids? Are they widowed and maybe they are now needing jobs? As I said, “I don’t know.”
But I do know I’m thankful for a super-duper job market in this USA.

Good jobs are a blessing from God.
Psalms 128:2 “You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours.”

ABOUT ME
Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...
Happy Thanksgiving, Oneta! I don’t believe I’ll ever combine Thanksgiving and moving again, though. When I started making pies this morning, I couldn’t find my rolling pin. Eventually, I discovered it in the bedroom closet. I have no explanation, but at least the pies are made!
What a delightful prompt that would make. How My Rolling Pin Wound Up in My Bedroom Closet! Imaginations could run wild. What/where are you moving to/from? Have a great Thanksgiving Day.
I’m moving within the same complex, but from my third story apartment to a ground floor in a different building. There are a number of pros and cons to the move, as there always is — the most important ‘pro’ is financial, and the real con is what I talked about here. But, I’m satisfied, and by Monday evening, it will all be done!
Okay. I don’t know how I missed you last week. I’m sure you have made a wise choice. You will find nice new places to snap the sunrise and sunset because that is a love of yours and you are still able to do so. Enjoy the squirrels. Find out some of their quirks, habits, and patterns. Maybe they will compete with birds for your love.
So you are joining the workforce?
No, much to my regret. However, those in the work force are paying my retirement. Who did you think would do that? Oh, yes, the government. 😀 Nice day after Thanksgiving blessings to you. 😀
Day after Thanksgiving now has become Black Friday that I am happy not to take part in. It’s था day when want conquers need.
I ready to change my Thanksgiving dinner to April 12th, July 16, or other! It has ruined our Thanksgiving for three years now. Wish I knew how to make an angry face emoji. 😀
What happened? It’s the day after TG I do not like. I do not like TG leftovers and the clean up.
The “it” to which I refer is Black Friday. That’s what happens. 😀
