I’M GOING OUT FOR RECESS

Oneta 84

I can’t keep up!  I refuse to give up!  So what can I do during December recess.  I can revisit some of my best posts – according to me – and recycle.  There are very few of you who started out with me.  Even if you did, I certainly don’t pride myself enough to believe you would remember what I said four years ago!  And besides I wrote better stuff when I was younger!  Ouch, that hurts.  But it is true.  So that is what I will do at recess.  I will copy and paste so I can edit if needed.  I have some good stories from long ago so I offer them to you for a used Christmas present.  😀

I plan to continue reading and commenting on yours.  I can do that late nights.  I seldom feel inspired to write at day’s end.

About oneta hayes

ABOUT ME Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...

Great idea for this busy time of year. I’ll be anxious to read them!

There’s not a thing wrong with “recycling” like that — especially if there are some posts you really like. If you like them, we probably will, too. I just re-posted one because it’s even harder to be creative in the middle of a move, especially when I spend most of my time saying, “Now, where in the world could that be…”

I am very glad I got to read it this time around. I am keeping my eye on the East. Moving is a stressful time for people who are generally conscientious keepers of their goods.

  3. it is an overwhelming and tiring time —look at it as a type of editing and bettering what was 🙂

Edit and recycle. Nothing wrong with recycling.Editing will give the benefit of your maturity as blogger (specially the added benefit of our interaction😊). Enjoy the recess and come back rejuvenated .

Never stop writing Oneta. The new stuff keeps the mind regenerated. The ‘old stuff – written in the past re-kindles memories and hopefully helps the writer (and the reader) see how far we have grown and travelled. (and learned, I hope).

Thanks, Faye. Lots of “stopping” anything is caused by discouragement and lack of motivation. Neither of which comes from the Lord. The physical will cause changes, however. I must look for ways to overcome those.

My comment was deleted (because it said I had said it before) Not so. Thank you for never giving up! ( I haven’t on this comment). Re writing is of benefit to both writer and reader it enables us ALL to reflect maybe on where we have been and where we are now. Enjoy a break but please keep on writing.
