MYSTERIES

question-mark

If you were in a class, Philosophy 102, it would probably not be long before you would be asked questions such as these: what are we here for, where did we come from, what is our purpose, and where are we going. Life’s great mysteries! There are many of them.  God does share answers to some; others he does not.  Mostly they are too big for my brain. That’s the way God is!

But he will give you enough answers to help you find peace as you snuggle down in his pleasure, knowing you came from God and you are going back to God. Meanwhile you are going to look as much like Him as you can. And you can know what to do to “look like him” because you are going to be as much like Jesus as you can. He said, “If you have known me, you have known the Father.”

From the preacher in the pulpit to the shopper in the “five and ten” cent store to the trooper on the highway to the teacher in the class—and on and on and on –our purpose is the “Show them Christ.”

Sad to say, however, that will likely not get you an A+ in the Philosophy class!  😀

Revelation 4:11  “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.”

About oneta hayes

ABOUT ME Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...

  1. Rev 4:11 KJV Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and glory; for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
Praise God – he gives us the answers in scripture – we were created for his pleasure. May we put a smile on God’s face today and know we are serving him for his pleasure and not our own. Amen!

how true. Academia is finding very little space for God in any of the major courses offered to our student grandchildren. Even in so-called Christian schools the true direct answer is often watered down so as not to ‘offend anyone’. I believe our Lord will not be excluded this way any more. He is the coming KING OF KINGS and Lord of Glory. Blessings.
