Yesterday is gone – the end of 85.
Not much to report except I’m still alive,
The future is at hand, the beginning of 86.
What will the year hold, with its treats and tricks?

The picture shows one birthday special. Kristina brought the cake and these two lovely great-granddaughters, Kenlyn and Addalyn.
Flowers, lunch, cakes, calls, best wishes, cards, F B greetings – recognition of the day.

Back at the beginning of January I decided I would read five chapters of Psalms each day. I am behind partly because of my playing last week. However, it was a blessing this morning as I was reading Chapters 71-75. I spied a nugget right there – Psalm 71:18. “Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, O God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your might to all who are to come.”

You are so precious! Happy birthday. I hope you had a blast.
Precious, me? How sweet you are! Thank you.
Yippee skippee
We’ll find out what the year holds, won’t we? Tricks or treats? Probably some of both. The Lord reigns in both.
Happy birthday to you.
Thank you for letting me know you have visited. I liked your live and love blog. I think I left a follow. If not, I’ll catch it next time.
What happened? I replied to this over at moderation place. I guess it will catch up. I enjoyed your blog. I think I left a follow. See you later.
Happy Birthday 🎉
Thank you. I accept your blessing. I like your blog “This Man’s Journey.” Nice in content and pictures.
Happy birthday, dear lady❤️
Thank you, Kathy. I still can’t find your proper URL. The one I get starts like this – LUKE SIX – BLESSED WORDS

I am sure you have something else. Help me. I have seen a different one but I don’t know where. It has pictures and poems. Maybe I am mixed up. But surely you have something more recent that I can’t find. Thanks for keeping up with me.
Happy belated birthday!! May God bless you 😊.
Thank you very much. I do accept your blessings, and may God’s favor rest on you also.
Happy Birthday Oneta!
Thank you. Are you my mandibelle? The picture looks familiar, but I’ve lost the blog. Profile says closed. I’m looking for mandibelle who writes poetry that makes me study. 😀 Not the kind I have up top. Where are you?
Hey Oneta. Sorry yes I’m your Mandibelle16. I switched my blog up for a while, maybe I’ll put the name back, so people still recognize me! http://www.wordsthatcant.wordpress.com. That’s the new blog. The poetry comes slowly when I’m able to concentrate and arrange it how I like 🙂 Glad you enjoy it. Your support means a lot! What kind if cake did you have for your birthday?
Hi. Thanks for checking me out; it has been a while. I went over to wordsthatcant. Good, of course. Hope your life is pleasant. What kind of cake? Pretty. 😀 Honestly, I had such a bitty bite, I hardly got a taste.
Oneta. You’re the birthday girl! You should get the biggest piece of cake lol. Glad you like the new page; I’ve still got to work on it. I often read your pieces and love them, of course.
Thanks. Glad you are still with me.
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday, dear Oneta —
Happy birthday to you! 😀
Listen. I hear the music. Thanks for the happy tune.
Happy Birthday – you are such an inspiration – I so agree that knowing and following Christ makes all the difference to life – I have known Him for almost all of my (almost) 75 years – may His goodness and mercy follow you this coming year – Blessings Lois
People who start early with him don’t have so much baggage to drop when they start following Him. However, he is capable, willing, and eager to take one’s baggage no matter how large. I expect a good year is coming. Thanks, lois.
Happy Birthday Oneta!
My mom is 88 and the other day she told me that some mornings it’s hard for her to know what her purpose is. (Her husband died a year ago Feb and she is almost completely blind) We started talking about all of the people she “touches”..whether it’s just a nice compliment to the check out girl or giving away copies of Jesus Calling which she is known to do. In the end, she realized that she does have a purpose and she is still touching people’s lives.
Your blog most certainly touches hearts out in the world as you share the love of Christ Oneta..and isn’t that amazing! The internet can be such a tool of the devil..but people such as yourself reclaim it for the Lord every time you post. What a precious opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives! And isn’t that the best birthday gift of all…knowing you are an active, engaged ambassador for Christ..reaching out to all the world, sharing the good news! 🥰 It’s just so wonderful!
It is very helpful to remind her of her present good deeds as well as remembering with her. The Word says “He will fulfill his purpose in us.” He won’t leave us floundering. Give her my greetings and respect. I have an aunt who is 89, nearly blind, and in a nursing home. She taught school in their small town. Many of her former students come to see her. They are a blessing and I assume they receive blessings from her. Purpose? Very important. Thank you, Sweet Cindy, for your lovely second paragraph. I treasure it.
Happy Birthday!!! Sweet pic of your great – granddaughters. God is smiling down on you! 🙂
Thank you, joyroses13. Yes, my girls are sweethearts. Pray with me for the two older of these siblings. I’m not getting to see them now. Custody issues. Breaks my heart, but I believe God works all things for good. Hope it won’t take too long to do so.
Oh Oneta I am so sorry, I am sure that is very hard. Will be praying for sure! God can work in mysterious ways!
Thank you, Dear. And thanks for the prayers.
You are very welcome! (((Hugs)))
Happy Birthday dear friend across the seas. My prayer is that you will be able to live for Him each day and write to inspire others on the journey. God indeed does continue to work in mysterious ways. May you continue to walk in that blessing and certainty.
Thank you. I do appreciate your encouragement to me, as you continue to inspire me to keep writing.
There is so much love in that picture! A lot of to rejoice it! And Happy Birthday again!
Thank you. Be blessed.
I hope this year is a wonderful one, Oneta!!! All the very best to you…
