This is my third day without a post. So I’m sitting here trying to think what to post. I’m considering confessing all my faults and failures, but after I tell you about both of them, I don’t know what to say. 😀
Picture below has absolutely nothing to do with this blog but It is so cute I can’t resist. One of my great-grans a few years ago. And she does sometimes think I’m funny.
About oneta hayes
Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...

Oneta, you crack me up!!
We scooted out of town for a few days— sick and tired of all our rain— we found snow instead— but I must confess, I’ve rather enjoyed my vacation from blogland
Hope you are having fun with your little ones. Fun has to be a goal; rest is not likely. 😀
Well…I’ve haven’t been posting because Gregory and I were so sick of the constant rain we opted for a little road trip— we headed north to Asheville to visit Biltmore— it had been so long since we had been— but we left the rain for snow— we then drove over to Black Mt where I’d worked at a Christian girls camp during my summers in collage— a quick three or four day diversion— that did spark a a soon to be post—gotta find my inspiration where I can 🧐
It is hard to choose something besides your babies, but you needed couple time, I’m sure. Glad for a new adventure with old memories.
And now I’m in Atlanta with a puny Mayor 😖a stomach bug 😳
When I began blogging, I met a young Danish woman who was a graphics designer or some such. The tagline for her blog was a good one: “If I don’t have anything to say, I won’t say it.” That’s pretty smart, really!
Wisdom. My daddy said something like that. For me it is wise to remember “If you don’t have anything nice to say, shut up.” I feel perfectly free to tell myself to “shut up” even though it is not a very polite saying. Thanks for the comment.
I love your blog and find you hilarious.
Thank you, dear. I still have to go hunting to find you. Would like to read you blog more. None of the links that come to me, work for me. I can go to Julies and find where she gave me your proper link. That URL looks the same. I’m frustrated. I love your poetry and pictures.
I don’t get it. My URL us atimetoshare.me
You are worth looking for. I left a comment someplace. 😀
Enjoy your time away from blogosphere.
Sitting in the airport to meet our daughter. We were flying out to meet her and she had arranged for brunch at a place she loves. Plane taxied out right in time but then came the dreaded announcement. Long story short, returned back to gate and deplaned. Now seating at gate. Estimated two and a half hours delay (for a hour and half flight). Feel bad for my daughter.
Thanks, Pranab. I did a bit of writing today. Reading also. I hope the visit with your daughter was pleasant overall, even though you have a rough start.
This has been a continuous eating trip. My BP must have gone through the roof.😀
I have BP you will envy. This week it was 115/64 I think. No BP medicine. Amazing. I am thankful. Take care of yourself.
Wow. What’s the secret?
I’m simply pleased to find you blog whenever. Thank you.
Thank you, Faye. You’re a pleasure to me and I am sure to many others.
Haha..you can post something on your life, Oneta.
We absolutely love you and the pic is cute.
Thanks for encouragement from a younger reader. I have had a good life. Quaint to the present generation, who have it all but don’t know it. Thanks, Dear.
you’re welcome oneta.
