CHECK THIS #9 – WATER

check mark black

Ten to twenty times a day

We are to wash the germs away.

Twenty seconds for each time

You take your turn, I take mine.

How many minutes does your water run?

We’ve used a lot before we’re done.

I think I have been very slack

In being thankful.  I never lack

The flowing at the turn of a tap.

Written with a genuine “Thank you, Lord.”

We live in abundance and need not hoard.

Thinking with contrition the plight of the people in countries who have to deal with COVID19 without an abundance of water.

About oneta hayes

ABOUT ME Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...

“We live in abundance and need not hoard.” – tell that to you hero who is soon going to play god to determine who lives and who dies so that he and his cronies can hoard their financial future.
I heard the Indian PM talk today announcing a twenty one day lock out.
What a difference hearing from someone who talked about health and welfare of everyone, even the poorest and not bogged down by worry of hit to one’s financial holdings.

Tell me how the stock market plunge shows that Pres. Trump is hoarding for his cronies. If he were paying off the rich, seems to me they would be upping the ante to keep him there.. Ahh. I’m hurting but not losing faith. Maybe your PM doesn’t think he can do health and welfare and save the economy also. Ours is sure making a try. Do you suppose he will have to fund the Green New Deal and other Dem packings in order to get this stimulus help. Shumer and Pelosi sure have him under the gun.

Our of 2Trillion, 500 billion to be used at his discretion? Come on.

        • oneta hayes says:

Of course, he by passes the Treasurer Secretary, Congress and Department Secretaries! You must joke. You are listening to a bunch of people who want to see America go down the drain. I heard Schumer also with his “we are looking out for the common fellow” while approving a raise for Congress and demanding emissions control for airplanes by 2050. You know they can never pass up a chance during a crises.

And don’t worry, you and I shall be in the front of the line of those chosen if we fall sick.
Who knows, that may afford us an opportunity to meet sooner than later. Now you may know if that will be up or down, I have no idea😀

I’m pretty confident in my Redeemer. Did you hear they have found a fossil worm now that gives evidence of our evolutionary beginnings? How God must hoot at the foolishness of his Masterpiece. Such a great amount of faith it must take to believe that! A fossil worm! 😀

      • pranabaxom says:

The world was created in six days. Hallelujah 😀

I’m not sure. Don’t really base my belief on that but I have many more questions about man being around for 200 million years or whatever. I sort of tend to believe the 7 24-hour a day creation. Are some miracles bigger than other miracles? More impressive maybe, but isn’t a miracle a miracle no matter its size. Two big problems for me in the long old earth theory conflict with current things I know for sure. One: In my lifetime I have seen the earth’s population grow from about 3 to 5 billion. If population grows that fast, where is the evidence of people having lived and died for the first 200 million years or so. The oldest tombs or other burial grounds are only how old? A few thousand? So we have evidence of dinosaurs but not people who have existed millions of years since dinosaurs. Hum? Also one of the laws of thermodynamics that deals with things moving toward negativity rather than getting better. I believe things left without care get worse not better. So as I said, I don’t know. I tend to believe in short earth, however, over the long earth creation. But I do believe God was/is and has been forever, so whatever he was doing all that time, will likely never be put in a nutshell small enough for you or me to understand it. Hallelujah.

I must have touched a tender nerve somewhere to deserve such a long response😀.

By the way this is where Hindu and Christian theology may have some common ground about the creator but not about the mode of creation. And as we are led to believe that the creator is present in every creation and therefore worthy of worship ( though we conveniently forget that till praying for a lottery win ,😜), I conclude this with 🙏.

Take care, stay healthy and don’t take a bus to that church in Louisiana to test your faith😀.

          @pranabaxom

The Word of God is very clear in God’s time frame of creation. The LORD God All Mighty created the universe in 6 days.

          Exodus 20:11
11 For the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and everything in them in six days; then He rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and declared it holy.

If it would have taken God millions of years then He cannot be All-Powerful, but the God of the Bible has unlimited power and created everything according to His plan (6 days) and rested on the seventh. The word “rested” doesn’t mean that He got tired, but that God finished making everything that He wanted to create in His time frame.

          • oneta hayes says:

I’m up with this. However, if God had decided to take millions of years to accomplish this miracle, I don’t think that would have made him less powerful than doing the job in six days. I’m happy with a quick creation and a short earth as we know it. But I believe God was doing many things forever so I open to a discussion of what some of those things might have been. Thanks, Spaniard VIII, for pulling us back to what the Bible says.

            • SpaniardVIII says:

Hello oneta. I just stick to what the Bible says. If it said millions of years than millions of years it is, but we know, as do you, that in Genesis 1, and Exodus 20, the Bible confirms a six days creation. Sometimes people make things more complicated than what it really is, if only they would just read the text.

There is a River that never shall run Dry. This is the time when everything has a sign. CLOSED. What can never be CLOSED?. Time to question. No need to GO to Church. He is with and in all who have chosen the way of Christ the Saviour, Redeemer and Great I AM and the beginning and the END. The Bible six days of creation……accept be grateful that from Genesis to Revelations it has and is proving TRUE. Accept He is Creator (the logistics of our thinking it is time to bury).
where do we STAND NOW………It is 2020 and time to really THINK. Not be full of Head-knowledge. blessings to all. and Stay safe and stay ‘connected’. Pray, write, phone…..even ‘coming together’ does not have to be physical.

    • oneta hayes says:

The local church fellowship can provide much that helps Christians on their journey. But it is not the action that saves a person. Watching TV at home is not the same as going with others who worship together. Be safe.

  4. Thank you for the reminder Oneta…..that we DO have abundance and need not hoard. It also got me to thinking of our abundance of Living Water that our Lord pours out over us. Thank you for that thought also.

You ran across my mind Ms Oneta. Praying you & yours are well🙏💫e
