“Now isn’t that a dainty dish to set before the king.*
Well, hardly!
But it is greatly appreciated by my husband and me. It is one of the many things my community (and country) does for us. The Senior Center continued serving lunches even though we can no longer meet there to eat. They had a pick-up service a couple of days. Then a laid off school teacher began delivering the lunches voluntarily.
The little star notes have been attached to the lunches. Done voluntarily with sweetness from a staff who still show concern for us. I’m sure with the change that exists, no one is making them write “lovie” notes to us. They are just the kind of people who go beyond what is required.
So, although this might not be the “dish” designed for the king, I dare say it cannot be served with any more love and care.
Thanks Jewel, Ashley, Carol and others, including school teacher, who are holding on and going beyond, while we are holding on.

That looks tasty aunt oneta
Actually it was pretty good – served with love. 😀
❤ !
And love back to you. ♥
What a nice gesture.
When I hear stories like this, hope rekindles.
It is good to hear something positive in the midst of the din.
We shall be tested, battle scarred, bruised and bloodied, but we shall come out of these.
And then we shall commit the same mistakes again that brought this pandemic on us.
We thrive in misery.
Thank you for this lovely, uplifting post. 😀 ❤
Thank you, dear Lady.
How incredibly sweet!
I think so too. Thanks for the comment.
