Oneta 84

Dear Blogging Friends:

Many of you have read statements I have made about feeling like blogging is a special ministry given to me by God after a major physical battle during which I basically had to quite everything I had been doing in the way of “good works” up to that time.  I repeat to you that I didn’t even know what blogging was before God put in my heart to learn to blog in order to contact people to minister in such a way as possible in this venue.

Well, look what Face Book has just shot back at me –  something I put in FB status seven years ago!

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!” (Gal.2:20)
I have been “physically challenged” this past year, almost all my “good works” (under the law) routine has been dropped aside. Any/all righteousness I have is in Christ – in his grace alone. If I could work my way to heaven, Christ died for nothing. But I never want that truth to become an excuse for physical and spiritual laziness. I need your prayers, dear people, for God’s direction in how I go about setting a new routine for myself.
Much love to you.”

NOW IS THAT NOT AN ANSWERED PRAYER!  Blogging with you is as important to me as the visits I used to make to people in their homes.  And many of you, dear people, are here because God sees it as good for us – you and me!  Isn’t He something!   I thought I was giving up so much; I’ve found he has replaced it with so much.

It is no accident or coincidence that you and I are sharing some cyberspace together.  If God cares about this, don’t doubt about the love that he pours into your hearts to give you strength, peace, courage, and love to fight the battles you are fighting today!

About oneta hayes

ABOUT ME Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...

This is so true. I’ve met some wonderful people through this ministry. We’ve become friends without ever having had any physical contact, but we’re joined by the love of God. I feel blessed to have gotten to know you, Oneta.

  3. God is so good and I am so grateful He placed you in the blogging world. I am blessed by you Oneta.

You are amazing! You go above and beyond to tell others about Christ. I love what you type. You don’t go around bragging about your life like some others do. You type with meaning…, like a online preacher! We can all tell others about God. It’s a Story that’ll never END.

  5. Yes, if God wants to use us (and He does 😉 ) He is not limited by time and space. How blessed we are to live in a time where we can reach people all over the world from our own kitchens. 🙂

Oh amen dear Oneta. I believe this blogging journey was ordained by God to allow me also to connect with folks outside my own ‘box’ in a way unknown before. It was suggested to me by a lovely young man (I have forgotten his name I think it was Jeff). He directed me to a blogging education link on WordPress and I do believe life expanded from that time onwards. I have made a commitment to blog at least on Wednesdays and Sundays but to answer and connect with others during the week. It has expanded prayer life and the very title of my blog seems to draw to me personally the folks I can then reach in more personal and closer ways. The isolation of this present virus is showing how vital these blogging friends are at present and I value each one and every personal who connects with each one very highly and I can join in any prayer needs as well. For me as I am ageing this connection is part of the big picture of KINGDOM CALLING which has been my life experience since 1991when I journeyed to China. I appreciate you very much Oneta for the richness of your sharing and life. To your friends also I say THANK YOU!
