Story Time:
The plagues were being loosed on Egypt. First off, the waters were all turned to blood. Pharaoh wasn’t too bothered, he just sent for his magicians who did the same thing. A bit silly to add to the problem but he didn’t lose too much dignity in this first throwing down of the gauntlet, after all it was only the “little people” who were bothered. No trouble in the wine cabinets.
Seven days later God told Moses to tell Pharaoh there were frogs coming. Lots and lots of frogs. And they came.
His courtyard, palace, kitchen, and bedroom – all filled with toads hopping around like spittle on a hot anvil. They even got in the ovens. Now that must have made for a macho dish. “Your bread with embedded frogs today, Master.” It likely took a team of slaves to swat them off his table at meal time. His valet had to remove the frogs from his bed at nap time. And frogs were an unpleasant distraction at bed time because his wife was a screaming banshee telling him for the 37th time that day to call Moses.
So the Pharaoh had to concede and call Moses again. After a bit of banter during which his pride made him call for his magicians to prove that their gods also could make frogs. So they did! Their frogs added to God’s frogs. Even the simpletons knew it was dumb to try to get rid of frogs by making more frogs!
By then Pharaoh has to beg a bit. So he asks Moses to pray to God to make the frogs go away. Moses says, “Okay, that will be done. No more frogs except what belong in the Nile.”
Now if I had been there, I would have grabbed at that deal, but now, Bloggers, you’ll hardly believe the rest of this conversation.
Listen carefully.
Moses asks, “When do you want them gone?”
Pharaoh answers, “Tomorrow.”
Tomorrow? Are you kidding me? Tomorrow? Why not today, this hour, this minute?
THE END –
You know all story times come to the end. But sometimes we need to allow the story to rumble through our minds a bit.
Perhaps you will discover that God has made a promise to you and you are waiting before grabbing that promise.
Perhaps sin is making a slave of you, and you are waiting until Monday to make a new start.
Perhaps you have decided to accept the Lord as your Savior but you are not ready yet. You’ll just keep your frogs a bit longer. They are pests but they are cute little things.
What are you putting off until tomorrow?

They ruled. And they signifying sin rules today. All sorts of sins and addictions. I’m outta here for a while.

See, truth has a habit of coming out.
I don’t know whether or not my “hero” in the white house is a sinner or not. I know he has done a lot more to help out the cause of things I think are right than anybody with power for a long time. I haven’t asked him neither have I heard him say. Unlike President Obama who made bold moves against Christian/Judeo principles and proclaimed that he was a Christian. By the way I only have his word that he was a Christian; he did not show it very much in action.

A person can be taken out of slavery, and it will take much more to take the enslavement out of a person.
