MEN

men

Men, men, what would I do without them?

I am blessed with many good men in my life: Sons, Grand-sons, Brother, Brothers-in-law, Nephews, Pastor, and Friends – And most of all, my husband, Sammy.

Without him —-

Instead of picking up socks, I could paint some pretty rocks.

Instead of tissues for his sneezing nose, I could buy myself a lovely rose.

Instead of singing in a duo, I’d have to do a solo.

Instead of mending torn britches, I could knit some pretty stitches.

Instead of his whistle on the patio, I’d just have  the radio.

Instead of having a littered couch, I could have a neat-nik house.

Instead of hearing the door open, I’d sit here very lonesome.

About oneta hayes

ABOUT ME Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...

    Good one Oneta.
You made me laugh and sad at the same time. You forgot to mention your sparring partner in the list. Last he checked he was still a man😂.

Oh how true this is! LOL. There are things my husband does that are annoying but I would’nt want to take on this life with anyone else.
