A surge of worry,
Squashes hope for the morrow
Bringing its sorrow.
But a surge of hope
Releases joy for today,
Brightening your way.

ABOUT ME
Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...
There is always HOPE no matter what!
joyroses, thank you for the comment. I believe there are some who have no hope. Often manifested in suicide.
You are right, sadly they lose hope, but it is out there if one can only see it!
Yes, that is our job to show them if the Lord will point them our to us. We need to be close enough and reliable enough for him to show us. Thanks.
Wonderful sentiment.
Thank you, Tina. Better philosophy than believing there is no hope. I have no reason not to be hopeful. What a blessing!
☺️
I chose hope too but at times it becomes difficult.
Yes, sometimes it is difficult. I could not do so without something or Someone to place my hope in. I have known of some who gave up hope in this life and put their hope in eternal life. I hope I never give up here even though I believe I will continue to hope for eternity. It is definitely easier to hope when one is healthy and wealthy. 😀 I wonder what sustains some in countries stricken by poverty.
People does not need too much to be healthy and wise. Wealth depends on how one defined it. King Midas was definitely wealthy😀
I consider anyone wealthy if he has enough to meet physical needs with a pleasurable “want” available on occasion. 😀 I don’t agree with you about “it doesn’t take much to be healthy and wise.” We got a “want” last night; rain!
Send some of that want our side. We need it badly.
Regarding rain, I am helpless. Hope you get some soon.
🙏🙏
