IN GOD WE TRUST

Dear Friends, in several of my comments I have signed off with “In God We Trust.” I am trying to put in practice the wisdom from my blog about Jehosophat, as taught to me by Pastor Ken Isom. https://onetahayes.com/2020/10/26/sunday-leftovers-when-in-a-fight-for-your-life/

Remember the lesson? When the battle gets too big, just hear God saying, “The battle is not yours, the battle is mine.”

I’m there. I’m giving it to Him. I Trust Him. I Thank Him.

In the first place if I really trust in God, why not give him praise for the answer now. Okay. Will some of you agree with me in the following prayer?

“Lord, God, I believe whatever this election produces today is not too big for you to handle. You get us out of so many of our own errors, mistakes, and plans. I have plans. I have prayed that you approve my plan. But in my intermost being, I know you know so much more than I, I am happy to turn it over to you.”

“I praise you because you lift up leaders and nations and that you bring down leaders and nations. I praise you that You were the hand that formed the nation of America. I praise you that you used common men with uncommon talents given by you to put our Constitution together. I praise you that you created all men equal in value on earth and in value in the heavens. I praise you that you care for our freedoms, our happiness, our lives. I thank you that you helped create a government for the people and by the people. I thank you for our economic system which takes into account the talents, skills, interests of men and women to do good for themselves and for others. I know you care and that your care will not end tonight or tomorrow. If it is troublesome to me, you will not be shocked.”

“I realize that people seem to be more ready to hear a plan for salvation and life eternal in times of conflict than in times of luxury. If it takes “troubles” to humble us to repent and to seek your face, by faith I thank you for working that for the good of eternal souls.”

“I also know Jesus is coming again. And it may be soon. But before that time there may be world wide political issues to be “arranged” for that day. I thank you that President Trump has a heart that is tender to Israel and that there is “something in the wind” as relates to the end times that will bring a new heaven and earth where there will be no more sorrow.”

“I’m remembering today that you said, “The battle is not yours. The battle is mine.”

“With all my heart and soul, I praise and thank you.

About oneta hayes

ABOUT ME Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...

AMEN!!! I am so grateful we can REST in HIM!!! No matter what…..

  2. Amen as I have real aloud your words—I stand in Him who was, is and shall be.

Yes, throughout time, God has used men and women who were not perfect or ideal to bring about His plans…
King David lapsed into great sin but God managed to raise him up in order to bring about God’s plan…
    Peter denied snd lied…
    Paul hunted, condemned and murdered,…
and even Judas, who betrayed, was a part of God’s will…

In the end, God will always have HIS way…not our way.

And He will use who He desires.

The President, despite his many many faults and arrogance has shown respect to the unborn, to God’s promised land and chosen people, to the foundation of our nation and history and has shown he is not partial to one color of skin or one kind of person…
despite what the news may wish us to believe.

    God’s will, will be done!

You have a wonderful way of putting things into perspective. God’s will is going to be done, in spite of us. He knows what people are capable of and will use them to further His kingdom. Our kingdom is not of this world and all the battles have already been won. Thanks for your comfort.

It is mysterious that God’s will is going to be done in our country, yet he urges us to pray, seek his face, turn from out wicked ways – then he will heal our land. A part of the Lord’s Prayer “thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven;” so his will is good for us (as in heaven). However, He knows wickedness will continue to the point of His having to destroy it. I can best get hold of that as a matter of timing. The end will come but it is largely controlled by God’s “church” on earth. At this point I can only resignedly say, It is beyond my understanding.” 😀 Too big for me; here, Lord, you take it. Ah, that’s a relief.

It is good to keep that in mind: “The battle is not yours, the battle is mine.” Troubles hopefully lead us back to repentance.

I have understand with you all there who really understand the BIG KINGDOM PICTURE. Any nation which is not supporting Israel in these days will be in deep spiritual trouble no matter what else is going on. Blessings and PEACE! The Battle is indeed the Lord’s.

    • oneta hayes says:

Yes. Israel is still God’s picture for all of us. His picture as portrayed in his Word. I think we understand alike on this point. The good think for every nation is that it is open to the same blessings as the nation of Israel – IF God is her (nation) Lord. Blessed is that nation whose God is the Lord. (Ps 33:12)
