HABAKKUK, ME, AND GOD

Taking a look at Habakkuk. Now I see why I love it. He and I share the same questions about this world we live in. And when we have a talk with the Lord, we still have questions, and we have praise. Take a look with me for a few days. If you don’t already, you too, will love Habakkuk.

ME: (l:2-4)

God, why don’t you do something about this mess? I keep asking and you don’t answer. Look at the violence, the corruption, the injustice, wicked people, oppression. Strife and conflict abound. Even the police are unable to restore order.

GOD: (1:5-11)

Just watch and see. You will be surprised at what I am doing. The problem is that you want to understand and you can’t understand my way. I’m raising up forces you wouldn’t believe. Violent, mean, fast.

ME: (1:12-17)

So I know you are going to use them to punish us for our sins. But, God, you can do anything. You see good and evil. Why do you allow it? You don’t say a word as evil rages against the righteous. That’s not fair. It makes no sense.

ME STILL: (2:1)

I’m just going to stand here and wait to see how you answer that, before I say anything else.

GOD: (2:2,3)

Okay, start writing. Make a banner and make it plain. I want headline news. It will all work out in the end. Might seem long but it will certainly come.

………….So how does this challenge to God all work out? Join be for next segment as I receive information from God with some great news. Then we will consider some “woes” about Israel’s sins and see where America stands with those sins

Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...
