“What you been up to, Pete?”
“Not so much ‘up to’ anything. More like ‘down to’. I’ve been sleeping on a couch in the city dump.”
“How did you get to this nice place?”
“Got a job.”
“That’s good.”
“Yeah. Never again will I say I’m ‘down in the dumps,’ – At least if the new guy can keep the jobs a’comin’. I hear a lot of places are going on lock down.”
“Yep. Can you tell me where that couch is?

ABOUT ME
Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...
I can tell you where the word count’s hidden. If you look at the top of the editor, there’s a small case letter ‘i’ with a circle around it. Click on that, and your word count will pop up.
Thanks. I’ll give it a shot. Sounds simple. On this post I really didn’t care. I could have stuffed it a bit with another question and answer but I thought is would take away the punch. At least I was hoping for a punch.
Way Cool! Good To Know! Is it the same on the Android App?
You’re asking someone who doesn’t even know what an Android App is! 😀
Ha ha! WordPress Block Editor works on the phone. When I get home, I am going to look and see If I can get a word count on my phone.
Great Read By The Way!
See shoreacre’s comment at top. Sounds easy. I haven’t done it yet. And thanks.
Absolutely! And You Are Welcome!
I don’t know. I have the app on my iPad, but I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to edit a post there or find the word count. I never use the app for anything; it’s too awkward.
It is all I know, lol!
