THOUGHTS WHILE PUTTING AWAY FALL DECOR

Who can call an end to fall?

We  can put away the trappings,

…..That’s all.

We can set signs of Christmas out,

Send the cards and sing and shout.

We can ring bells for New Years Day,

Resolve to do better

Or just stay our old way.

We can gripe about icy storms

Add some logs to keep us warm.

Or complain about the heat

Wipe the sweat and still feel beat.

We can try “buying” a change in weather,

Raise the taxes to make things better,

But we’ll not change nature,

No never!

Seasons come and seasons go,

God set it in motion, t’will always be so.

About oneta hayes

ABOUT ME Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...

It is all good. It will be warm again in the spring. Ah, sweet changes. I personally don’t like winter but I acknowledge its necessity. So I’ll go with the flow. Thanks, Pam.

    “But we’ll not change nature,

No never!” – but we can have an impact on climate change 😀.

    Nicely done Oneta.

Of course I think it is all bunk, but tell me how people caused the CO2, or what ever it was, to put an end to the last ice age, about 11,000 years ago. I’m playing dumb. 😀 We will never change the weather (climate) in any significant amount, but our buddy John Kerry will have his fortune pocketed. Now protecting the environment, I can get with you – at least to the degree that we protect environment in the USA. However, I will never want to see Bigfoot protected at the expense of the farmers who can’t put up a fence to keep him out. And let China, France, and Bangladesh take care of their problems. And Hi, Pranab. You didn’t respond to why I said we are “suspicious.” I guess you are just too suspicious of me to ask.. 😀

I am playing smart by not trying to “educate” one who has all the answers😀.

There you are extremely wise! 😀

I get worried, and suspicious, when you don’t respond. 😥 See I’m trying out a new emoji.

In company of good teacher 😀

One who knows when she better quit while student is being nice. I’m busy today. I think this is three days in a row to not post. You haven’t either, have you?

          • pranabaxom says:

I haven’t been regular in my blog for sometime now.
Just trying my best to stay positive.

I’m sorry you have been “under the weather.” I do care. And I pray for you and your family. I guess the problem for you is not politics anymore, since change appears to be on its way and President Trump and us Trump supporters are rendered ineffective. That is not a happy picture for me. The money might last long enough for me to live the rest of my life, but I hate leaving a changed America to my kids. Long live California! Rah, Rah.
Oh, come on, Hayes, I say to myself. It’s not done yet! God parted the Red Sea! Who knows what might be on its way. There’s still hope, Pranab. You might want to move to Oklahoma. God parted the Jordan also. 😀

And the meeks shall inherit the world😀.
Good will never be rendered ineffective though there will never be an end to trying by vested interests trying to cheat and con. Unfortunately innocents become collateral damage in that fight.

              • pranabaxom says:

And that is one reason I am staying away from the blog, to keep away from the negative thoughts seeping into my writing.
