Gersom, this really hit the spot with me. I have asked God to bless you and keep you encouraged with this wonderful gift you have to add such visual beauty to God’s Word.
God rules by His Might. He does not take time off; He doesn’t take a recess. His eye is on our nation.
What He asks us to to is let Him know we are thankful. “who has kept our soul” – I’m not sure whether this is talking about us as individuals, or us as a nation, but either is true. He is not willing that our soul or the soul of our nation be lost. If we are ungrateful, disobedient, and proud, He will let us have our way. But it is not His desire!

I want to pay tribute to wonderful people I have known, the wonderful country in which I live, the communities in which I have lived, the churches who have claimed me as their own, the God who sends shivers down my back when I really give him a portion of my time—well, maybe not shivers but tears flow easily in some of those most priceless times.
