PUT ME IN REMEMBRANCE, God has no time boundaries

Several years ago I wrote a paper to God called “Put Me In Remembrance,” which was I was inspired to do at the bidding of Isaiah 43:26 where God said, “Put me in remembrance…..”

God keeps record of my acts for him, but I cannot find that He keeps any record of what he does for me. Am I going to allow his wonderful acts to me to be unrecorded? I wish I had kept record. But this will be my attempt to “put him in remembrance” and let him know how very, very much he means to me. The paper is addressed to God.

To God:  One of the most amazing things you ever did to show that you do remember our past, was the chorus incident.  When I lived in Claremore, there were many nights that I went to sleep by singing a love chorus to you.  Then came the interruption of part time teaching in Wichita.  I spent time on the road between Claremore, Wichita, and Oklahoma City (where Sammy was teaching).  What a disruption of our time together!  Then the move to Okla. City, to the apartment first, then to our house on 113th Street.  When things settled down and I tried to re-establish our before-sleep routine, I could not remember the song.  I shut the bathroom  closet door and said, “Lord, I cannot remember that chorus but you do, don’t you?”  As I turned to go out of the room, the words came.

I lift my hands, I raise my voice, I give my love to you, my Lord, and I rejoice.

There are many, many reasons why I love you like I do.

But most of all I love you,  Jesus

Most of all I love you, Master

Most of all I love you because You’re You!

Oh, God, that was amazing.

About oneta hayes

ABOUT ME Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...
