ODE (or something) TO DR. FAUCI

WASHINGTON, DC – JUNE 26: Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Anthony Fauci speaks after a White House Coronavirus Task Force briefing at the Department of Health and Human Services on June 26, 2020 in Washington, DC. Cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) are rising in southern and western states forcing businesses to remain closed. (Photo by Joshua Roberts/Getty Images)

On the ground and in the air

Dr. Fauci’s everywhere.

He shuns busses, chooses limos or planes.

People seek his latest science for their pains.

He’s has proven to be right

Often enough to stay in the fight.

      That’s because his “right-meter” quota

Can change goals in any quarta.

Doctors place servants at hospital doors

To hand you a mask if you came without yours.

They mutter a quiet apology,

But they have to do it, don’t you see.

Orders from governors, politicians, and mayors

You’ll find his mandates in all social layers.

He’s not a man with much sense of humor,

But he is unfazed at any rumor.

      Throughout the years 20, 21

He has ordained what people have done!

So grab your signature lapel pin,

Comes in silver or gold – or a miserly tin.

You can tell your children

you knew Dr. Fauci back when!

About oneta hayes

ABOUT ME Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...

What a hoot, Oneta. Is it yours? I’m often in need of a laugh in these grim times. 💋

  2. Frank Hubeny says:

He has been a disaster, but he has given me good reason not to trust what gets labeled “science”.

  3. What a kind-hearted man of the people, generously lying to all of us, using our tax dollars to finance virus research in China and always looking out for big old number one!

  4. “Fauci Ouchie!” LOL (I’ll pass, thank you.)

  5. Faye says:

Thank you. Fortunately I have not heard of him. It the science that supposedly knows intimately the needs of the WHOLE WORLD reaches me that brings amusement. Science forever must remain just that SCIENCE. Nothing absolutely nothing can define or analyze faith. Keep on keepin on .
