Death beckons. Their love remains sound.

Google research tells me that platinum, iron, or smoky quartz is traditional as gifts for one’s 70th anniversary. Suggestion: iron skillet! Whoo-hoo! Now there is romance for the girl who got her man by cooking. I am not much shy of my sevenieth anniversary but I haven’t lifted an iron skillet in nigh on to sixty years. Just send me a card with a dollar in it. I’ll go to Dollar Tree and buy a bag of shiny stones, but maybe not smoky quartz. 😀

About oneta hayes

ABOUT ME Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. Wow! what a goal to aim for. As long as love is ALIVE what a journey. TWO MORE YEARS! A prayer goal for all of us as we age. Blessings! So many of my friends and even our beloved daughter are going home much earlier. His Will….His Timing.! Thank you for the thought.

I do believe Sammy and I will have a 70th anniversary. I don’t mind shooting for 75! At our age we are watching many peers move on to Heaven. But I am assured that it is a better place when we have to go. Prayers for you daughter. Whatever her need it is not beyond the eye of the Master.
