This is my first submission for Rochelle’s 100 word story that is not exactly 100 words, but I have noticed some others who interpret the instructions as 100 words or less so mine is less today. Some of you know I have been on a “work break” for almost two weeks so I wanted to get back in with a recognition of my Friend God. Amazing. Hope my friends on the “frog” will come see me again soon.
ABOUT ME
Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...
Yes, on occasion but I like the challenge of writing exactly 100 words. Calls on me to change a word here and there. I generally come up with something I like better than that with which I started. Both? That’s good.
Good post! I just commented back to you on my post how writing short stories can be hard. I have tried the 100 word stories before ,.but it doesn’t work. I like to “talk” too much! LOL! 😄
Welcome back Oneta.
Hope you are well rested and rejuvenated.
Take care and stay safe.
Not sure what these Delta variant and now the new one, Lambda, have in store for us.
Kind welcome back. Thank you. I hadn’t heard of the Lambda. My household is trying to build immunities and we have cut way back on going out. We just ordered lunch to be picked up. But it will have been handled by six or eight people by the time it gets to us. I live in peace, however. Hope the best for you.
I want to pay tribute to wonderful people I have known, the wonderful country in which I live, the communities in which I have lived, the churches who have claimed me as their own, the God who sends shivers down my back when I really give him a portion of my time—well, maybe not shivers but tears flow easily in some of those most priceless times.
Liberating isn’t it, when you discover you can write less than 100?

For being a “talker” you sure write nice short stories/sentence stories. Keep doing your thing. It’s all to the good. 😀
You are aweet! Thank you I plan on it. Writing is like breathing to me, I need to do it. 🙂
All’s well.

Lambda variant originated in Peru, I think.
I rejoice to see a post from you. Hi again and thank you for the morning spiritual boost!
That time out was action filled. Glad you are still on board. Sending some God-love your way to add to that you already have. 😀
Beautiful! The greatest story ever told.
What a Friend we have in Jesus!
