I’M BACK ON TRACK

My joy is to report progress is in view! Some of you might remember that I walked diligently last year before Covid raged. About five days a week I walked from 5-7 thousand steps a day. Then Covid. Then Pain. Steps? Didn’t try. This week Mon 2495; Tues. 4372; Wed. 5333; Thurs. 4650. Today I haven’t carried my counter. I was going to walk but my car goofed so I had to bring it home. Slept instead of walking. You have my blessing hoping for the next big progress to be yours.

Written for SoCS (Stream of Consciousness Saturday #SoCS) hosted by Linda G. Hill. Challenge for this Saturday is to write something that begins with the word “my” and ends with “yours.” Write with little planning or editing. Actually I did plan to do a post about my walking as evidenced by the fact that I had pictures. But I hadn’t planned what to do with the pictures until I saw Linda’s challenge. I decided that would be a good way to use my pictures.

I don’t know the people behind me, so I can’t thank them. But they do look like nice folks backing my up. 😀

Thank you, Linda. https://lindaghill.com/category/stream-of-consciousness-saturday/

About oneta hayes

ABOUT ME Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...

Congratulations on your progress and blessings on your continued strengthening. J.

  2. Awesome! I am so proud of you. Walking is very healing, gets the kinks out of mind, body, and spirit. That’s why we call it our “walk” with Jesus. That’s why God “walked” with us in the cool the evenings long ago. 🙂

I walk with my sister sometimes. We walk together about five steps then she is out of ear range. Off like a shot. You agree that Jesus never does us like that. He stays right near so he can offer a hand when we stumble.

That’s high but I am shooting for 5K steps at least four days a week. According to my counter, I need to walk about 2300 for a mile. If I can be consistent at that, I will have achieved my goal. Keep me accountable.

  6. Excellent news. So happy to hear it. Blessings.
