I’m doing a copy/edit/repost of this post from November 2, ’17. From Zechariah 4:6. We desperately need a revival of holiness in our land. Many of us with clear minds of common sense wonder how much lower we can go in … dare I say … idiocy by the rulers, elite, and intelligentcia in our land.
“Not by might, not by power, but by my Spirit,” says the Lord. How we knock ourselves out to be the biggest, richest, friendliest, most talented, most caring, most influential and most effective voice for Jesus! And we do it for good cause, wanting to draw folks to Him.
I am so impressed with the beauty of the magnificent cathedrals; many constructed years ago by much labor, ingenuity, talent and cost. If beauty and power would do the job, wouldn’t we be much farther down the road in our zeal to evangelize the world for Jesus?

What God wants is obedience and humility, Why did he choose Israel to be his people? Because they were small and weak without might and power except by God’s Spirit. And we never qualify more for his use than when we are praying, humble and broken before him letting him clothe us in his righteousness, purify us with his holiness, and arm us with his Word.
How much we are like Peter, “let us build three tabernacles…!” Peter in one of his knee-jerk reactions to just do something! And something big would be better! How much he changed after (how long? Ten days?) in the upper room! The Holy Spirit made an impact and it was mighty and it was powerful! How? “… by my Spirit,” says the Lord. (Zech. 4:6)

A Powerful insightful post. Will there ever be another revival NOW? It is written Will I find faith on the Earth when I return? Jesus said Luke 18:8. Most of the Christian Church has never studied WHO God the HOLY SPIRIT – the third PERSON in the God HEAD really is. A study not just a flippant aw I follow and believe in Jesus response is of limited help in 2021. We need ALL of GOD and the full dimension of His Holy Spirit………available to us as the OT Prophets only dreamed about. His work is to change us into Christ’s image but His POWER will give us the great ability to STAND, Not by might but by MY SPIRIT in us. A remnant Bride will be HOLY. Thank you your posts inspire me.
