WHO’S DRIVING?

d

Don’t we wish someone had wrestled the driver who killed six people and injured about fifty others in Waukeshe last month! But maybe that “someone” was too timid to make a scene. Or maybe that “someone” believed in keeping peace. Or, he didn’t want the publicity. Or she was too Christian to start a fight. Or, she, too, might have been to emotionally involved to use good judgement.

What if the driver of the car was are next-door neighbor whom you have noticed has not been himself recently?

What if he has been abusing his family but you have not wanted to be involved?

What if he is a sick sinner on his way to hell?

What if he is a Washington congressman who you continue to vote for because “that’s just the way my family votes?”

What if she is a compulsive shopper whose utility services have been cut off because of bills not paid?

What if he is a good ole Joe who is not competent to make decisions big enough for his pay grade?

What if your children are having to attend a school in which people’s abilities are judged based on skin color?

We had better get involved, wrest that wheel away from the driver who is taking us down the path to poverty and destruction!

About oneta hayes

ABOUT ME Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...

Fortunately, for the Christ-follower there is a power in control over-all, that when we “read the back of the book, we win.” However, for the sake of those who lose, it is vital that we feel with the heart of our Father the desire to see them in Heaven, and do everything we can to “wrestle the steering wheel” out of their hands so that they, too, can be saved from destruction.

I love the imagery and powerful point you make in this blog. If Christians do not show the Strength of their faith by expressing lovingly and powerfully the Way to Salvation (Wresting back from evil forces) our TRUTH who will change direction. who will ever know there on a wrong road? Have you heard that some folks don’t want any religion to spoil Christmas. Religion is not what I live for. My Saviour is a LIVING reality and celebrating HIS Birthday is what I rejoice in. It doesn’t even matter if the day was not 25th December it is is birthday we celebrate. It is the REASON for the Season.
