Still he goes on loving me, loving me all the time. I have wounded him, his patience tried, Spurned is tenderness, his name denied, But still he goes on loving me. Loving me all the time. FRANK HOUGHTON
I’m Grandma – not a Domestic Terrorist, but I could be if one intrudes into my domicile.
I can’t be helped out much with new glasses now, so it was very kind of a Saleslady who told me my glasses are “nice;” she didn’t think I needed to buy new ones. That was sweet.
There are not many protests going on now. Is it because the protesters are happy with the Biden administration? Or, maybe just the weather!
Mayor Pete says he will cut traffic deaths to zero. https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/news/here-s-how-mayor-pete-plans-to-curb-traffic-deaths/ar-AATdpQW I think he plans to use Robots or something on the highways (all that infrastructure money). I don’t think he has been seeing the icy roads in the cities.
Do you remember when a billion dollars was a lot of money? Like when Congress couldn’t afford five billion to close the southern border wall? Google: “Since the creation of DHS in 2003, ICE spending has nearly tripled, from $3.3 billion to $8.3 billion today (Figure 2). Much of this funding has gone to increasing the agency’s ability to hold immigrants in detention in locations around the country.”
Do you ever invest so much in failure, that you do not allow success? Especially tragic when predicting failure from a child! Have you heard anyone say, “He’ll never amount to anything?” I imagine that is a time when Jesus would remind us that “it is better that a millstone be hung around one’s neck than to cause a little one to stumble.”
Confession. I don’t like LaBron James. Racist, racist! I love Herschel Walker. Oh, how can that be! Hint: It is connected with politics, not race.
Many years ago, Roger was involved in a motorcycle wreck in Denver. I flew up there to be with him. He was told that he needed surgery on his knee and we were given the option of doing the surgery there or coming back to OKC for the operation. We flew home to OKC. Went to the doctor to have the knee checked. The doctor cut off the brace, checked out the knee and said, “Whoever did this surgery in Denver sure did a good job.” He didn’t have further surgery. Amazing Healer, our Lord Jesus Christ!
Proverbs 3:6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
Letter to an Editor I wrote a long time ago. It was in response to someone who asked if she was eating a chicken or an egg when she eats a fertilized egg. My response:

So Friday’s Fun, Facts, and Foibles is complete for today. My desk looks lots better.
In regard to the chicken and egg story, though, the Scripture never defines when an egg becomes a chicken, but clearly identifies the human from conception. 😉
❤️&🙏, c.a.
The Bible does say God created animals and birds; I have no reason to believe he created eggs.
Thoughtful thoughts. Some areas are still grey, yet we each have our individual likes, dislikes, and convictions. I believe all life is precious, which is why I’m 95 percent vegan. But I still kill cockroaches in the house. Nobody’s perfect.
Stomp those little creatures to smithereens. 😀 The natural flow of nature shows me there is much wisdom necessary to know when and when not. I hate seeing elephants killed in order to harvest ivory; on the other hand, I know how necessary it was for my dad and other farmers to rid their fields of rabbits. I always hated him shooting them, but then I didn’t know what he knew. We are much different JoAnna, but I always enjoy your blogs and your give and take.
It gives me hope anytime people with different backgrounds and beliefs can share ideas and enjoy each other’s writing. 🙂
