Did you hear about the chaotic atmosphere at the funeral of the man who composed the little song, Do the Hoky Poky? Yes, it was a mess. Every time the mortician stuck the guy’s left foot in the coffin, the right foot would come out. Or right foot in, the left would come out. The whole routine. As I said, it was a mess.
I didn’t have problems putting my Easter bunnies in the box today. They were submissive to their lot in life. Eleven months in the box, before they could come out again. I kept trying to encourage them by telling them they would rise again.
Now you know I have to hop to some Jesus thoughts right here. Once risen, he did not return to the box. He blew the box top open, never to enter it again.
And he left the option. Do we accept life in the box forever? Or, do we follow him by way of the cross and the resurrection?
Choose life or death. Deuteronomy 30:19 “Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! 20 You can make this choice by loving the Lord your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him.
Good thing I was done with coffee when I read about the Hokey Pokey’s composer’s funeral!! 😂😂
