LET GOD TOOT YOUR HORN

Conversation with Pete, my twenty-something grandson.

Pete, the chances are that you will walk in here someday and I will be gone. In that case, how will you finish this sentence? “I wish I had asked Grandma…..” What will it be?

He said, “How long did you live in Colorado, and why did you leave?”

WOW, that opened me up for a long journey in time. It was a nice journey for me and Pete liked the come along with me” time. I told him I had never intentionally made a critical decision without feeling like I was on the path the Lord had prepared for me. In the process of that journey, my healing(s) through life were paramount.

In scanning through some of my WP stats, I showed him how my testimony and study of healing was the topic far beyond any other of my blogging issues. (In viewership, not in quanity.) Then I showed him that my topic “Jehovah rophe” is on google, number three on the first page. I hadn’t told you all that, had I. I was surprised the first time I saw it. Now, I ask you, how in this world did my articles rate that. Well, I’ll also tell you God has his ways of working out his purpose in his kids.

I remember with such thankfulness that God told me at the outset of my “medical” journey that he would “fulfill his purpose in me.”

I’ll end with a paragraph from a former blog that had something to do with choosing a job, I believe.

You see if the Lord puts you in a place it will likely turn out well for “master and servant,” whose relationship guidelines are set in Colossians 3:22-4:1. I love Psalm 37:6 “He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn…” I guess that means he will toot your horn for you if it needs to be tooted! Lily or lilac, petunia or pansy, daisy or dandelion, grow where he plants you. Now why would I mention dandelion? Because some of us are dandelions, like it or not. Paul spoke of vessels of honor and dishonor (Romans 9:21). Whatever the status, if it is designed by Jesus, it will be good for you and others.

About oneta hayes

ABOUT ME Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...
