THURSDAY THOUGHTS

I find it funny that the “save the planet” people promote “save nature” but not people. Reminder: People came along with the planet. That bit of human at conception is definitely nature and remains such until death.

“Pants are comfortable, if they are comfortable.” Well that is profound; sounds like Kamala Harris. What she said was, “You know, when we talk about our children, and I know for this group we all believe that when we talk about the children of the community, they are a children of the community,” she said.

Back to the subject of pants. I understand the need to keep skirts from blowing over one’s head in Colorado where the wind blows; I live in Oklahoma where…. Oh, that argument isn’t very good.

Have you heard of this?  Family story of my Dad’s (Pete) birth.   She said G. Ross, the midwife, taped a silver dollar tightly on a navel rupture.  That has been credited with having saved his life. Pete weighed just 2 lbs at birth.  He had a twin brother who was slightly larger but died.

Duties of preachers to call out sins.  I’ve been rough on preachers who do not call out sin; I’m reminded that we all serve as spiritual mentors to someone but few of us give them the whole truth.  We are sugar-coaters also.  Grace, grace, will be met with Justice, justice.

How ’bout those soda pop pictures at the top? Shows how serious the present generation is about their fear of plastic in the ocean, or anyplace else. Where is the protest against the plastic soda pop tangle? I liked the old cartons that could be recycled. These paper one’s could be recycled or burned. Any it didn’t take a screwdriver, scissors, forty pounds of muscle strength, and ten minutes to get a pop to drink! I say forty pounds because I can squeeze thirty pounds pressure. I can’t release a pop bottle from the pop bottle tangle.

Go to Jesus for your caffeine fix; he is a step up from Mt Dew. I hear the morning crowd. “No reason we can’t have both.” 😀

I see far too many coincidences to be coincidence. God has a plan. It will come to pass. We can choose to cooperate or rebel. Either way his plan will come to pass. Is the next big event on the Spirit’s calendar the return of Jesus Christ? Check the signs. Now the Spirit [a]expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, 1st Timothy 4:1-2

The Satanic Temple is now considered a church by the Internal Revenue Service and can apply for faith-based grants. https://www.foxnews.com/us/satanic-temple-irs-has-designated-it-a-tax-exempt-church

About oneta hayes

ABOUT ME Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...

  2. Lord have mercy on us!

  3. You are so right about watered-down grace, Oneta. “Speaking the truth in love.” “Love” without truth is void of freedom! It’s not love at all.

  4. “Grace, grace, will be met with Justice, justice.” Yes, it will. I see signs in our neighborhood that say something like, “If you want peace, work for justice.” I always think, “You do NOT want justice. If we get justice, we’re all going to hell.” Thank God for grace.
