GOLDENROD

GOLDENROD

Picture is a view of my table and window. Flower is day lily, not goldenrod. I have no goldenrod, but I plan to place that on my bucket list: “plant some goldenrod”

This assignment by Tourmaline piqued my curiosity regarding the Goldenrod plant. I find that it is beautiful and beneficial to body, butterflies, and bees.

I always have fun with Color Your World. Thanks, Tourmaline.

About oneta hayes

ABOUT ME Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. 1. I have not heard of golden rod. I have a plant in my garden called golden chain. It’s just started to grow but no flowers yet. I wonder if it’s the same as golden rod. I’ll send you a photo when it blooms x

My online browsing yields the following info. Golden rod is a flower; golden chain is a tree. I would love to see a picture of the golden chain tree. I’m sure my son would love to have one – a tree not your picture. 😀 He is a tree lover.

Goldenrod is beautiful! I like seeing it grow along the country roads in the spring.

Okay, an email friend was VERY clear in letting me know Goldenrod gets a bad undeserved rap for allergies!! See https://blog.nwf.org/2014/09/the-goldenrod-allergy-myth/ for what my correspondent informed me. Mea culpa! 😌
